John, stunning work!  Seriously.

But I’m concerned just a bit.

Have you finally lost your marbles, my friend?

This thing will use enough space for at least two F4Us. Six with the wings folded!

Thanks Ernie! LOL It IS big alright and I really don't know WHERE I'll put it when finished. Seems I have a strong affinity for Corsairs, especially the birdcage. I just bought another one to go with the others in my stash. :D

Status as of today. I'm considering putting this one aside for a bit (NOT SOD) as I'm a little burned out on it at the moment. I'll get back to it soon.

Can't blame you there John. The Mossie is such an involved kit, even OOB. There's so much detail to it even though  it all fits where it's supposed to. Almost too much. I burned out on mine as well. Took me almost a year to get around to finishing it. Which I'm glad I did.

Well heck! I'm "on the fence" here. Trying to get my arse in gear and MAKE A DECISION. Stay with the Mosquito or put it aside for a bit and start something else?

Why not finish that Tiger off and will be rejuvenated.........:o..........nice a bit of armour weathering didn’t do anyone any harm. .....must admit having had almost 18 months doing armour, it’s good to get back to things with wings........

That's something I'm considering. For the moment I'm still working on the Mosquito.

John, your work up to now is lovely. Perhaps build a nice Hasegawa kit along with Ernie?

With your skills you'll kill it. :thumbsup2:

Thanks. I have decided to stay with the Mosquito. Too far along on the build to set it aside. ;)

Looking good, John.  I burned out even on my HK kit after awhile. There is SO muchinternal; stuff plus PE, I just got fried.

But you made it much farther than I did, and I'm looking forward to seeing this one finished sometime in the future.

Yes Ernie, this kit has a LOT of stuff in it. A outstanding kit but very fiddly at times which tends to take away from the enjoyment. I'm glad I decided to stay with it but I will also be glad to get it finished. ;)

I’m not a member of the built Tamiya Mossie club yet, John, but one of these days...

I expect to go OOB as well. I like mine closed up anyway, but I’ll learn from yours

It will make a very nice model but I doubt I'll purchase another. ;)

Great news to hear you're sticking with the Mossie.

I've built one, got one in the stash with a started Tse Tse scratch build conversion and I keep thinking of getting a third one. What stops me on number three is the price and just how complex the kit is. Nevermind the space for when it's done.

Yep! Too big a price, very complex, and too big a model LOL. :D (and too high a cuss-factor sometimes!)

Can any of the interior be left out?  Or is it all needed?

There are a few places you can leave stuff out. The engines could probably be reduced to just a block and heads for mounting the exhausts. If the bomb bay and nose gun bay are closed up, that's more you could skip. My next one will be reduced to as simple as possible.

It's nearly all needed Ernie. If you choose to close up the engines that will negate the need for some of those engine parts.
