Jeff
I don't know about any 'inability' to paint a face, they look really good to me , and if I could do that well, I would be thrilled..... still though, I think they look really good... and then again, maybe simpler is the way to go sometimes?? I really like them...

PanzerWomble
If we are necroing old stuff. My pal restored a Marder III ... ish ..and yes it drives although the final drive clutches were an absolute #### to sort out . And to help with some of the basic measurements he used that Tamaiya kit. 5

This GB actually never was officially finished, so please feel free to add the 1/35 original to the 1/1 'replica' . Cheers Rob

PanzerWomble
Yes indeed , John also did the Stug III , which now lives in Texas at a tank driving range...and allowed him to retire to Normandy . Not bad for 2 years work . Prior to that he did numerous Stugs and Pz III's based on FV432s . 3
PanzerWomble
Found a vid from the Marder III build ....yes it's an IVECO diesel in there not a petrol . The drive clutches came in and out about 20 times , as John was double guessing how they went together with no manuals and the plates were shagged out . 2

I know he was looking at retiring to his farm in Normandy and taking this with him , but the import problems of a foreign military vehicle were problematic, so don't know how it ended up . Should get back in touch again .... 3
