Administrators Clunkmeister Posted December 17, 2020 Administrators Posted December 17, 2020 Mostly operating from Magnificent and Bonaventure. And of course Shearwater. Trackers, Avengers, Banshees, Sea Furies, Seafires, H-19, Bell 47, and HUPs Cool pics. Big aircraft, little carriers. Some very interesting modeling ideas here. If you have some unique and/or seldom seen pics, let’s see them and get the juices flowing. Nationality unimportant, cool pics very important 9 3
Jeff Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 AWESOME pics Ernie, I spent nearly an hour enjoying them, thanks for sharing and great thread idea 3
TJTX Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 Stupid statement, but I honestly had no idea Canada ever had a carrier. I also thought a Felixstowe had a bleed air line for awhile..... 4 2

Administrators Clunkmeister Posted December 18, 2020 Author Administrators Posted December 18, 2020 It’s amazing now long lived the Avenger turned out to be. They soldiered on into the early 60s, and then had new leases on life as mapping aircraft and firefighting aircraft. An overlooked design. Too pedestrian for some? 4
Winnie Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 Awesome pics Ernie! Canadian Naval Aviation is a favorite modelling subject of mine! 5

I still marvel at how the operated jet fighters and Trackers off those postage stamps. Hey must have been in hog heaven when they trapped onboard the Big US carriers. 4
krow113 Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 Thanks. I can almost see Comox from my house. I see the big Labs overhead every once and a while doing S&R training . We have an aerodrome here too , used to have a Fly-In and get around 40 planes 4
seiran01 Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Great pix for nasal radiation! *used to live next door to an old PBY pilot before his passing, he always found it amusing to slightly mispronounce naval aviation 3 1
