Looking very smart, my modelling interests are strictly WW2 but I did build one of those and despite the kits problems it looks pretty awesome on the display cabinet shelf. Cheers Dennis

Revell Hurricane IIB done
Spitfire replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
That looks really smart, I do like the Hurricane but only have the old Revell kit and a PCM one in my display cabinet, I will be adding this one to the collection one day. Cheers Dennis -
Revell Hurricane IIB next up...
Spitfire replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Looking good, but then again I do like a Hurricane, a fine looking aircraft, the speed of the build (2 days) is astonishing to me, it takes me 2 days to open the box. Cheers Dennis -
This is horrible news, hope that all will be well and please keep us up to date with any news. Dennis

Spitfire replied to KevinM's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Nice one, I built one a few years back and thoroughly enjoyed the build, it really goes together well. Cheers Dennis -
Came home today to find that the postman had left this nice box for me (from Hannants). And to my delight this was the contents Just have to get the finger out and finish the PCM Re 2005 now that my vision is back to normal. Cheers Dennis

Strictly WW2 for me as far as models are concerned. Cheers Dennis -

OK, I normally just chuck new kits into the stash without looking inside but here goes. Here's what you see when you open the box Then two plastic bags with the plastic parts inside, here's bag 1. Bag 2 Clear parts which come in their own plastic bag PE parts Cockpit Instructions An example from the booklet And a Correction booklet Painting and decal guide Mind blowing smoke ring decals, all numbered And the main decal sheet. Looks pretty pretty comprehensive to me but then again I am not an expert as far as Italian subjects are concerned and after three PCM builds on the run it looks pretty Astral Overdrive to me. Cheers Dennis

Sure but give me a couple of days to sort it, life is getting in the way of modelling at the moment. Cheers Dennis

This just landed at my front door. Cheers Dennis

I used the Squadron Vac on my MDC Typhoon and it worked out great. I used the Fisher prop and spinner on my Hobbycraft Sea Fury as well, shame that Fisher are defunct. Cheers Dennis

Spitfire replied to npb748r's topic in Modelling Discussion
Got an email from Hannants that the Italeri MC202 on my backorder list is now in stock, so I have ordered it. Cheers Dennis -
Got some goodies yesterday mainly for a kit that I have not got yet, but am eagerly awaiting from Hannants. And while I was cataloguing my decals and mask stash noticed that these were needed. More for the stash Cheers Dennis

SOD Trumpter P-47 "Sigma Nu Girl"-Finished
Spitfire replied to KevinM's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
I use masks on all of my builds with varying success rates as I am pretty useless at decal taming, they always silver and never lay down for me whereas paint works (for me). It can be very tricky at times working out the sequence of painting, a lot of times I paint the markings area first then apply the mask and paint the overall colours over it, sort of reverse masking. Here is my Revell Spitfire ready for the masks, the Sky band has been painted and masked off. Cheers Dennis -
