  1. Peter, I'll be retiring in the Philippines so should be much cheaper to have what I want built. Actually going to have the whole man cave built to my specs!
  2. I've been on the lookout for the big commercial retail display cases. Sometimes you can pick them up reasonably cheap at going out of business sales. Eventual plan when I retire is to have custom built in display cases that will accommodate the larger stuff.
  3. Those are gorgeous and Radu's research is always meticulous!
  4. They look great, hope they can be persuaded to do these in 1/32 at some point. I'd be all in.
  5. So going through my stash I've determined that I'm going to have to have some big ass display cases when I retire! Seven Ju 88s in the stash (one in progress as a G-6 conversion). Two Aims G-6 conversion sets (one in progress), one AIMS G-1 conversion set, one AIMS C-6 conversion set. Le'Arsenal A-5 conversion set, two CMK C-2 conversion sets, Profimodeller nose mounted MG FF conversion set. That doesn't cover everything, would still like to a D and an R and a torpedo bomber variant plus a few more that I'm sure I'm forgetting. On the plus side the wings fit snugly on the spars without glue so they can be stored away in a reasonably small space after assembly. Two 111s in the stash too, but that's another story.
  6. The level of angst that some people have against Luftwaffe subjects used to really irritate me but now it's actually a source of entertainment. The only thing that still riles me is the complete ignornace of the representation of subjects in 1/32. A Bf 109E-4 is nowhere near a Bf 109K-4 but they'll point to one or the other and say "you have that one, why do you need another one?" Gee Tamiya makes a gorgeous P-51D, why do you need a P-51B, they're not the same?
  7. Revell brought in six 109 "experten" (including Lynn Ritger) for their G-6 and still had a couple of major gaffs. The bean counters usually win in the end.
  8. I throw up in my mouth a little whenever anyone asks for another kit that's not 190!
  9. Some goodies from Pastor John, Ju 88C-6 conversion set, Me 262A-1a/U3 conversion set, and a few sheets of decals.
  10. Did you notice how the port and starboard covers are not mirror images of each other? These CADS are still early so I'm sure things will change considerably along the way. I could do without the whole engine too, just a decent looking plug is fine with me since it's virtually invisible when it's buttoned up anyway.
  11. Yeah I've pulled it out a few times over the last couple of months and I was waiting for some filler to dry on the 190 so I figured what the heck. The P-40 is almost done and that dates back to about the same time I started this one, really want to get the shelf queens off the shelf!
  12. Guess what I pulled off the shelf of doom today! All the old WIP pics were wiped out courtesy of PB a couple of years back but I took these last year. I spent a good part of the day getting the resin engine nacelles off the pour stubs and cleaned up as well as some touch up work on the wings. Still lots of little areas that need some massaging but once I get the nacelles mounted on the wings that will be a huge step forward. Will post some more pics tomorrow.
  13. Nice! I picked a set of Kits World decals to do this scheme.
  14. Stunning work! Going to move it to the completed builds section since it's already finished. And welcome to LSM!
  15. I don't recall if Z-M's D-9 will be SWS or basic series. If the former I'll just stick with my Hasegawa Doras just because they go together beautifully and look the part when finished. Surprised no one else has done 1/32 D-9 considering how popular the aircraft is.
