  1. Thanks Cees! This kit has great detail for an inexpensive Revell kit.The rivet and panel line detail is wonderful of course not to the level of the new 1/24 Typhoon but pretty good for a vintage kit!!
  2. Winging it today!!! Wow the fit of the four piece wing to the fuselage was very nice. Hardly a gap anywhere!!! Very pleased with the wing to fuselage fit!! I honest was holding my breath but was really pleasantly surprised with how well the fit has been so far!!! It maybe premature but so far this vintage Revell kit has been well behaved!! I love vintage Revell kits, lol!!!
  3. Started the Edward seatbelts. Thank God for my magnified hood, lol!! Finished Installing the Edward seatbelts today and joined the fuselage halves! Starting to look a bit like a Typhoon!! The fit was pretty good but looks like a day or so of filling, sanding and re-scribing!!
  4. Boy that's a beautiful kit!!! I've really enjoyed watching this build! What scheme are you doing it in?

  12. Thanks Doogs! I agree with woodgraining begin really intimidating until you do it a couple of times. I practiced on a styrene sheet before applying the technique to the Sopwith but still held my breath, lol!!

  14. Oh oh Dennis what's up with he canopy??
  15. No Ted the wood graining was pretty easy. I practiced on a sheet of styrene until i was happy with the results then applied my new found technique to the Sopwith!
  16. I agree Cees an oldie but still a goodie. LOL I'm a retired person production line!! I'm busy still with all sorts of things but always make bench time!!!
  17. Looking good! What aftermarket seatbelts did you use??
  18. Started this vintage 1/32 Revell Hawker Typhoon kit. Should be great fun!! Started the engine work last night by drilling out the exhaust stacks. Going to send the engine down to the paint shop for priming this morning and then start the detailing process. This will be great practice for my upcoming WNW D-Vll build in 2015!!
  19. Wow great looking build!! I just started a vintage Revell 1/32 Hawker Typhoon. I hope I reach the level you did with your build!!
  20. Thanks Day for the kind comment! Truth be told the Revell F-106 kit is a illfitting challenge but fun nontheless!! I've heard that Trumpeter has a new 1/48 kit out that holds better promise, lol!! Can't imagine this in 1/32!! In 1/48 its already 19" long. It's a pretty kit when finished so I'd recommend it even with the fit challenges!!
  21. Incredible kit! I had not realized that it was transparent which adds to the beauty of the plane. Great review Jim and thanks for posting the wonderful video too!!
  22. All finidhed! This is a Christmas Gift to a dearv friend who was a crew chief on F-106's in the late 60's early 70's. Mounted it on a mirrored base to show off the weapons bay!
  23. Unmasked the cockpit canopy this morning!! Check out the finished model by following this link!
  24. Big weekend for the F-106!! Semi-gloss gray base coat! Repainted the weapon and gear bays! Maked and painted the nose and started decaling! Installing the weapons! Dry fitting the weapons.
