    Early morning coffee and painting……perfect!! Gave the quad turret assembly a coat of Tamiya X-51 Khaki Drab.

    For some reason I could sleep so decided on some early Easter morning plastic therapy and completed very fiddly steps 3 and 4 assembling the quad mount turret. In typical Tamiya fashion all the parts fit perfectly considering the age of this kit.

    Completed step 2 and assembly of left and right 50cal mounts.

    One 50cal mount finished. I think I was able to sand all the seam lines?

    Now that painting is complete and I’m ready for final assembly of the small bits including the landing gear and the decals it’s time for a coat of Pledge/Klear to seal the deal!!!

    Just for fun!!! "Splash the Zero" or "Scramble the Egg", lol!!! From the 1980 movie Final Countdown with Kirk Douglas. What an eggciting and eggcellent build this was, lol!!! we should consider an Egg Kit build?

    Oh wow I’d give it a 10 out of 10 however I’m a huge Tamiya Fan Boy, lol!!! That’s the new Vallejo mud and mud/grass. Really great stuff!!

    Thanks Full. I like working with metallic colors. I think my best metallic effort to date was painting the Mandalorian’s Razor Crest.

    The color scheme is that of a coastal patroller flown in Norway.

    My Revell 1/32 Arado Ar196A-3 takes its place this morning as an official member of my Basement Air Force. I'll miss it but the kit comes highly recommended!

    Absolutely one of my most favorite armor builds!! Tamiya 1/35 King Tiger Ambush Diorama! This was great fun!!!
