  1. Looks like a book to have. I really like these kind of books. Very inspirational. Cees
  2. You have passed your RAF-test Jeroen!
  3. I'll tell him then. Just kidding
  4. Very nice work. I have a soft spot for this old kit, having built it many times and also learned some scratchbuilding skills on it. The surface detail is fantastic if you consider how old this kit really is. Apart from the missing gull wing underside it's still a nice option if you don't want to spend too much money on it. Oh and Kai, welcome to LSM on behalf of me too Cees
  5. Oh no! He did it again! Peter, the space between the sides and the floor will these be covered by a false wing upper surface? Or will the sides fit onto the floor when inserted into the airframe? Cheers Cees
  6. There are so many variations of "Olive Drab" you can never be wrong (despite the decades of differences of opinion among modellers). A combination of your first and second coats would have worked too. These things got very weathered. Cees
  7. Nice beaver shot.
  8. I suspect an overspray coming up (again). Your evil twin muhahahaha! Cees
  9. Looking very nice, what's the overspray on the tailfin leading edge? Cees
  10. Are you sure there is a coaming?
  11. Getting there. The seat of the noseturret is solid while the kit has an aperture otherwise the turret won't fit. After and before pics. Cees
  12. Nice to have the HKM parts to hand. The Manchester usually had two steeringwheels and a duplicate set of rudderpedals could be ftted. Cees
  13. Now that would be news if I became a patternmaker. Not in a million years however. I like to beaver away at my exotic projects and take all the time I need. Working to a schedule is not for me. Cees
  14. I have one partly built so will stalk yours closely.
  15. Nope, that still needs to be done, a cut and shut type of operation. Cees
  16. Interesting to read that. I was totally surprised when John approached me at Telford and gave me a reworked vacform fuselage with altered area for the dorsal gunner. The fuselage is moulded in two halves and in thicker plastic. Still very rough but perhaps it can work. I asked about this four years ago. Cees
  17. I can say the same about the Lancaster my dear jamesybaby! Cees
  18. Yes I do
  19. Hubert I know, I still have plans for scratchbuilding a Handley Page Hampden ( I like HP's can you tell?) Cheers Cees
  20. Franny, until last sunday at around 11.01 I used to like you very much hahahahahahaaaaahahahahhaaaaaha. It's just not fair Cees
  21. That's even more boooring
  22. Entirely the opposite, I thought Telford 2018 was one of the best in years. So many new things to see and as modellers we have never had it so good. As Jeroen, James and I were manning the HK Models stand we were looking at the Lancasters all the time I was fully motivated to start the Manchester again upon return home. With the spares I can now finish the cockpit and when painting is done the fuselage can be closed and then the fun really begins. Imagine to have a 1/32 Manchester and Lancaster standing next to each other. At Telford I had looked closely at Woody37's 1/48 Manchester and that was really good for inspiration. Cheers Cees
