  1. Some butchery. How are you going to fit the wings now Jeroen. Just using the mating surfaces? Cees
  2. And huge too, hope we still fit in the car though. Cees
  3. Nice models James, Don't tell anyone but I have a Revell 1.96 Cutty Sark on the way and have been wanting the Heller/Revell 1.100 Victory for years. Sailing ships where my first interest before switching over to aircraft permanently... at 13 years of age. Cees
  4. But that's what makes modelling fun. Otherwise we would all be building Mustangs, Spits and Merseyschmitts
  5. It's actually close to Ijmuiden. The museum is located in Heemskerk and open on sundays between may and October. Let me know when you are coming over then we can meet and I will show you around the museum. Cees
  6. Good to see you here too Hubert. Enjoy the hobby here. Cees
  7. What a Pity, and you were doing so well.
  8. Really like that book, the cut down versions look like a Yak. Cees
  9. Well, as has been mentioned you are perfectly welcome to post your builds in the non-LSM section. Cees
  10. OK, quit the chit-chat and start building LOL. Cheers Cees
  11. From experience the SAC sets are quite weak as well and parts get distorted before being unpacked already. Plastic part rip offs I believe. Cees
  12. Welcome to LSM Karim. Cheers Cees
  13. SAC landinggear? Cheers Cees
  14. That was fast and beautiful too, what a looker! Cheers Cees
  15. You should, we have for instance a nightfighter room which displays the remains of the aircraft of aces Pfeiffer, Woldersdorf and Geiger. The last one was shot down by British nightfighter ace Bob Braham.
  16. I would go for option A. If you can prise the blocks off the fuselage without too much damage you can butt joint (and perhaps use a pin or two) the block in the correct position. I have made two Mk Ic's in the past I can't remember having this same issue. If you angle the blocks you have less glue surface to ensure a strong bond, althoud the endges of the wing are a generally good fit against the fuselage IIRC. Weird. Cees
  17. No I don't The're on show in the museum I work for as a volunteer. The organisation aims to locate and recover all missing aircrew from WWII. Our museum is full with the remains of almost any aircraft type used in Western Europe. Cees
  18. Jeroen, now I can see it better than this morning when I wasn't fully awake yet It seems the pins on the block is not properly located. If you can get the block off again just remove the pins and glue in the correct position. You said that the blocks have the same partnumber but looking at the pic they must be handed if the other side has the same problem? Cheers Cees
  19. Thanks Peter, In case of the Halifax it took me 14 years, but with projects like these you do not need to be in a hurry, unless you have unlimited resources. Cheers Cees
  20. Here's my other hobby. Apart from investigating aircraft wrecks that came down on Dutch soil I also like to build full size cockpits such as the Handley Page Halifax and Hampden bombers. Halifax pictured. I am also working on a Spitfire instrument panel. Cheers Cees
  21. Nice one Peter, a classic but a goody. Somehow I always liked the interwar US carrier aircraft with those colourful markings. Cheers Cees
  22. Doc, no problem with the Eduard instrument panel, just wondering. Cees
  23. Jeroen, Looking great buddy, you really start to get the hang of those RAF-kites. I hope you have remove the two little tabs on the wingstubs? Otherwise you cannot remove the wings anymore. Guess how I know Cheers Cees
  24. Just seen this. Had been following this on LSP too. Good to see it finished and what a beauty. Well done! Cheers Cees
  25. Does Yahu also do a Me-163 instrument panel? Cheers Cees
