  1. Always nice to see how modellers solve problems. Part of the fun too. Very nice progress. Cees
  2. Now that is a good idea. Very nice already Graham. Cees
  3. The elevators have been fitted on the scratchbuild hinges. Seems like I am the only one posting in this topic. Cees
  4. As promised, the mr surfacer seals in the tape and evens out the surface. The elevators are on the table lower than the tailplane, optical illusion that the elevators are too short, which they are not. Hope they will be fitted this weekend. Cees
  5. And the starboard elevator. As you can see they are not exactly like the manual but close, and that is what I'm aiming for. No perfection, as there is non. Just to create the illusion. Next a coat of mr surfacer. Then the trimtabs can be refitted at a shallow angle after that the hinges will be made up so the elevators can be fitted to the tailplane. Cees
  6. Not by me! However, in the meantime the port elevator has been covered in strips cut from Tamiya tape representing the serrated fabric tapes as used on the Manchester. Like the fin this will be covered by mr surfacer to seal everything in. It looks great already. Cees
  7. Pinned and glued to make it extra strong, the inside was also glued to make sure. Cees
  8. Impressive, Can you tell us something about the camouflage? I always thought the RAF Mustang IV's had the firewall-type of camouflage. The dividing line between the forward fuselage and the cowling panel being used as a demarcationline, yours overlaps just a bit. Any info on that? Cees
  9. Found new info on the horizontal tailplane with panellines. Conflicting drawings certainly doesn't help. After scribing the tailplane was permanently fitted. The Mancunian is growing fast. 10. Working on it Fran. A sketch from the manual showing the central fin construcion. Cees
  11. @James....Woehaha! It will make Telford but not finished yet, or will it be? @Jeroen, wow that would be great, in the meantime I will work on the elevators. This project keeps motivating me, love it. Cees
  12. It takes hard work but when it has turned out well, the feeling of satisfaction is well earned. Cees
  13. Coat of mr surfacer 1000. I'm happy. The central fin is ready for mounting on the rear fuselage. Cees
  14. Screamer, Yes please Cees
  15. The central fin was a steel tube framework covered with fabric. To represent the linnen ribtapes I put thin strips of Tamiya tape on. With a rivetting tool the stitchings will hopefully ve represented and then a coat of mr surfacer to seal everything in. Simple but effective. Hope you like it Cees
  16. With those prices what would the HP 0/400 be worth then? Cees
  17. Isn't that illegal in Portugal Fran? Cees
  18. Nice noses. Great to see that they are ready now. Bring on the Lancaster! Cees
  19. It looks menacing. And a lot of hard work by the look of it too. Cees
  20. If HK Models can pull this off, then they have set the future standaard for all manufacturers. Cees
  21. Hèhè. You said it. Cees
