Fokker DR.I in 1/32 announced from Meng

I saw some of the stuff on TOS, and it’s just the usual garbage. A hone can stretch a thread into 20 pages by saying the same things over and over and over. -
Fokker DR.I in 1/32 announced from Meng

I’ll never get over WNW not doing French fighters. That was a huge mistake. I wouldn’t be surprised if the WERE originally the WNW molds, now nicely requisitioned by the Chinese government and redistributed to the local Chinese companies. Western rules of business etiquette and copyright mean nothing in China. I’ll pass. -

Tim, I still can’t get over that Klimov P-40. That’s just pure genius

I certainly don’t understand the ignoring of the KH Mirage. It’s a crazy popular kit with all kinds of possibilities, and other than Eduard and Master goodies, it’s been completely overlooked by the AM guys. The A-26 will certainly need plenty of AM...

I’m watching the medical side of it very carefully. My company weathered the first shutdown, and we still haven’t built back up again, so a second shutdown may deliver a stinging blow. If people would just use masks and stay apart a bit, all would be fine. -

HMS Speedy, 1/64 scale Brig/Sloop by Vanguard Models
Clunkmeister replied to Clunkmeister's topic in Non LSM 'WIP
Carrying on.... As of this morning I have four more on each side in place. Suddenly the skill just “clicked”, and now I’d love to go back and do it over with what I know now But the good news is the planks are thick and will be sanded to the final exact form, then a pearwood second layer applied over the lime wood. Matter of fact, eagle eyes will see I’ve been shaping a bit already.... I’m certainly learning new skills here, several of which will benefit me greatly when I finally get busy on my big Fokker Super Universal.- 49 replies

Carl, where did you buy that last case? It’s not IKEA, is it? -

The ones that get me are the misspelled English or German words that are part of the color scheme. The ones you can see from across the room. -

Carl, can you make a pair of glass doors to fit? I’m gonna look at IKEA as well. Maybe something out there? -

Especially those microscopic 1/48 engines. Great work, though! -
Yep, good true O Scale models that aren't more toys than scale models are as rare as rocking horse poop. 1/87 (HO) seems to be the size where the true Scale Modelers gravitate to. 1/160 (N) also is gaining traction, but thanks to Lionel and other tinplate manufacturers who crowded O Gauge over the years, it's never really been where the true scale modelers seem to land. Heck, just like the big "G" scale Geezer Gauge, they couldn't even agree on an actual NMRA standard size.

Possibly some good news here. It seems they’re making good on all outstanding orders. They are apparently being shipped Fedex, no extra charge. Still no change with the website, but this is a bit of good news as NZ gets back to normal.

That Albatros is easily the nicest example I've ever seen. I actually thought I was looking at a TVAL 1:1 reproduction!! -

Rob, the gunports are laser cut, yes. Also, the marks for the gun tackle are there as well, along with markings for the top of the main wale. I cant even imagine the time savings that will give. And the main deck is laser etched as well. I’m not sure how much I like that, although because it’s my first build, I’ll just run with it this time. The windlass drum and guns are nice resin castings as well. Very nice!- 49 replies
