  1. Hubert, that’s brilliant. I’m certainly struggling with the planking, but I’m learning as I go. My little travel iron is working wonders, and I’ve rigged up a little jig like Chuck uses on MSW, and so far it’s working out. There’s a few decent Speedy/Flirt builds over there, and although or two got borked in a grand fashion, most are looking decent. I CAN and WILL do this.
  2. Build away, Lee. I'm building a wooden sailing ship in non LSM, and there's plenty of 1/48, and even some sci-fi being built as well. Everything is welcome.
  3. Hey folks, I have a Revell and some Hasegawa canopies as well, and they don't fit. And the short nose early hood is the flay hood with no bulge, so they wouldn't work anyway. I emailed Kitlinx yesterday, so here's hoping....
  4. That Tamiya Mossie looks like a mojo killer. I can testify! The B-36 is the same way. Chore after chore after chore after chore. It gets old, fast.
  5. It looks great, man! Beautiful work, and for amkit that’s collected it’s fair share of internet poo, it sure looks like a P-51B from here...
  6. Beautiful Mustang, Kevin! Stunning work, actually. Welcome to LSM, I think you’ll find some familiar faces here and a nice, easygoing atmosphere. That F-16 will be great when done, I’m all hung ho for nPolish bird if I ever get caught up on everything else. There’s no shame in off scale builds here. Most folks here also dabble in the other scales. And other than myself, almost everyone is either big into, or at least dabbles in armor.
  7. We need more P-40s. And P-39s. And Hurricanes, and Brewster Buffalos. Stuff we don’t see built all that much...
  8. Beautiful build on a tough kit, Phil! Bloody brilliant, that. We’re not worthy!
  9. So here I am, building my A-3, and when I see this, immediately Monty Python pops into my mind.... ”you got a very big nose....”
  10. I got a speeding ticket in one of those Cadillacs. 72 mph. Down a BIG hill, with a tailwind. Oh, and never reverse in high range. The transmission would often break.
  11. Yep. I shall. I’m trying to locate all the parts. So far I have found them all except for the completed seat (no biggie), and the clear Sprue (big biggie). I don’t want to rob a spare kit, so I’m on a mission. It’s probably in the same place as those Canadair Tutor resin cockpits.
  12. Martin, these look like Canadian M135 Jimmys... Those were our issued Deuces when I was in. At least for the first half...
  13. Awesome work, Lee. I got bogged down on a simple White 6 ton 6x6 build. Just can’t seem to get motivated. I’ll be watching this one develop
  14. Yeah, I’ve got many irons in the fire. P-47 within two weekends of complete, B-36 in the middle of a build, Fw 190 A-3, HMS Speedy
  15. Go for it, y’all. I’ll watch and cheer y’all on.
  16. Carl, I smell a Tempest in your future....
  17. I’ve never managed to complete but one 190 and it wasn’t even a real 190... All others ended with n dismal failure on the SOD. Just couldn’t get enthused.
  18. My next one I’m thinking of sheeting over it like some Soviet units did.
  19. Ooooh, looking awesome, Alan. That’s a great kit you have there and you’re gonna turn it into pure gold.
  20. Lutz, this is phenomenal work, and what a way to start your life here with friends on LSM! Your A6M is looking truly amazing!
  21. A bunch of years ago, a buddy of mine and I saw another buddy of ours sleeping over the steering wheel of his cabover. He, not me, got the bright idea go play a trick on him and jack his cab. So he did whatever he did and over went the cab, with him in it. He started cussing a blue streak and we were laughing like drunk fools. Until his TV came crashing through the right side windshield. It actually popped the glass right out. His cussing got even louder, we got caught red handed. Yep, we paid for the TV AND the new windshield. Almost got our heads beat in, too.....
  22. Was working on this on and off over the years. I love a short nose early Würger, and the PCM kit is might challenging. As everyone knows, this kit’ll fight you every single step of the way, and I’m ready for some fun. Now that I receive my A-3 props from Henri, maybe now is the time
  23. No I didn’t but I can.
