It will sell well in the UK, maybe well in Europe but I'm not sure it will be a big seller in the US or rest of the world. It looks really well done and I'm sure a build review beforehand will help sales figures. If you want it buy it, because I don't see it being in production long as most who want it will snap it up straight away.

No, if I'm building something I always at least google it to read something.

I had this kit laying in the stash for years. Dad bought it at a swap and sell for the drop tanks and then gave it to me, but it was missing the spinner. Fortunately Wumm was able to send me a replacement and Iain sent me some decals for Israeli Mustangs he wasn't going to use which probably saved it from being turfed into the bin (because I don't normally build older kits). I scribed some surface detail including dzus fasteners and knocked back all the raised rivets and panel lines. I did consider putting a resin cockpit in, but for the price, it just wasn't worth it. It's not a bad older model and although being surpassed by the Tamiya offering, if you're on a budget you can generally pick this kit up for 20 bucks at a swap and sell. As for white 19, it was shot down by ground fire over the Sinai peninsula in October 1956.

Walked into a local toy store that was having a 50% off the lowest sticker price sale as they are moving locations and found these two. Orginally 82 dollars, down to 65 and then half off that, well I couldn't walk past them. There was nothing else worth buying in the models section.

I've been watching a lot of combat film from the civil war over there and was mightly impressed by the T-72's ability to burn from just a single RPG hit and I wouldn't mind building one. Since I have pretty much no idea what's out there for post 1945 armour, suggestions anyone?

The Bargain Bin... Where is that latest Hot Deal!
BradG replied to Dave J's topic in Modelling Discussion
At 34.99 it's still too much for a Trumpeter kit. -
I always thought the way to remove your future was to get married.

That's pretty nice.

I use only 3 glues; super glue for almost everything, Revell Contacta for when I need a couple of minutes wiggle room to position a part and Testors clear parts glue for all the clear bits.

There is probably not much left to find Rick. You'll find chuncks of aluminium that once was an aircraft, larger bits of metal like engines and weapons if they were still on the aircraft, but I seriously doubt that recovering such wreckage would be worth anyones time or effort. A lot of the time they would bulldoze aircraft into a pit and burn them too, you can imagne what that does.

I've tried masking fluid over silver paint and although it gave me what I was after at the time, it's a real pain to remove (see the Ki-84). Since then, I will spray an enamal base and use Tamiya thinner, Windex or hot on cotton buds or paper towel to work back the top layer of paint; Gunze colours (Ki-44 and 61). I've found this is much easier to control, gives a nice edge to the chipping and wear but also if you screw up, just repaint and go again.

Br-52 Locomotive and Tender---waiting for a train.
BradG replied to PAnderson's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Looks great. I built one of these and every sprue suffered severe mold misalignment. Nearly drove me crazy. -
Why complicate things by slattering stuff on your model that I normally put on my toast? Just paint it green then use a good brush to paint on the large areas of paint chipping. You can make it as accurate as you want then.

Nice, although I was expecting 6'2 blonde chicks when I read the title.

Thanks mate. I pretty much watch it all day and yeh, the wheels just fell off and carnage ensued. There's a real chance for things to be all over tomorrow.

1/32 Ki 61 Tei with wolfpack conversion and cockpit
BradG replied to do335b6's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Ah ok that's good. It looked very much like a sharpie marker and I was going to say don't use those as the black ink will seep through the top layer of paint -

Cool, it looks good. Did you use black paint or a texter/sharpie to shade the panel lines? -
