They sure would like to, and it is in the plans but it would take a huge effort, and of course lots of money, but as far as I know yes eventually that is the plan.... it does taxi and all the systems work, bomb doors, control surfaces, lights etc, but she is missing a lot of key components....... the task for now is to expand the museum grounds so she can taxi around on her own power, go and stop... we just need to make the grounds larger and get it paved...... hopefully in the not too distant future.....

Hey guys, I just got the latest BCMC news letter and they are going to set up a Lancaster VR experience at the Museum very soon..... check this video out..... if you get a chance you should check out the museum it is well worth the donation admission...... we have a real live Lancaster with engine starts, a Bristol Hercules engine they fire up, a Mosquito restoration you can touch with a host of other BCATP artifacts and aircraft....... http://www.bombercommandmuseum.ca

Welcome to the "Wet" coast Harv !!! Hope you and Bev make it home safely, after this trip you sure as Hell won't want to come back to our side of the world..... FWIW, it's snowing here now too, but I will say the Vancouver Island and lower mainland got hammered the past couple days................................ oh sorry, that may be in poor taste !

Martin, the 'Stang looks GREAT !!!!!!!!!!! It looks like they did a good job on her, and on the back side of it all, they took their time and did it right...... I am assuming she is coming home on a deck truck? Did you insist she be covered in this crappy weather to prevent rock chips and or slush spraying on her new paint?? Normally, I am NOT a fan of black rims, ( just a personal thing no offense intended for you guys who like and do black rims) but I must say those graphite rims look really good and suit the car perfectly, the color of them is spot on................

Oh, and for the curb thing, can you drop a 2x4 at the curb to lessen the drop? I see that here all the time, just remove it when the street sweeper comes by so you don't go to jail for 'littering or altering the street or some silly thing.....

Minus a million.......? You should come to southern BC old buddy, it is only minus 1/2 million here, rather tropical.... looks to be a little tranny fluid under the front end too.... and for the record............ No,........ I never gave a thought to how brittle 'plastic' is at those temps...... never even crossed my mind until I see your plight..... I'm shaking my head.........why no ABS? It should have kicked in , I would say, kind of the reason it's there....??... what kind of tire are you using? I have had excellent luck with Toyo GO 2's, I think they have changed the number, BUT they have " microbit technology', meaning they have the good tried and true tested walnut shells in the rubber....... they are incredible, and are a full winter tire, not sure that would have made much difference at minus a million and the hard ice that makes, but it might be worth some investigation...... my driveway, right now is like the Saddle-dome, and I had to jam my brakes on and its a down graded roadway, and I may have slid about 10 feet at most...... sorry to see your troubles, bud.... I guess as you were t the back they say it's your fault eh?

Well IF the tech screwed up the trunk lid, at least better to do it NOW than when the weather is nice and you 'could' be driving it, BUT I totally understand, not having your ride near you is like having an hand cut off....... and by the time you get the car back it will be hot out and you may need to consider this.... just a random thought....

Be careful getting her home Martin.... it's still winter, and has the heater ever been turned on?? I couldn't tell you if the heater works in my Corvettes, as they have never been out in the cold........ Good luck and be safe....

WELCOME the the WEST, Harv !! Quite the dump, we had eh?? There was a 12 car pile up by Watcom Road near Abbostford BC, just a little north of where you are... some folks here in BC, just can't handle shot snow, my buddy in Seattle sent me a pic of a guy in a Lambo in that snow storm all screwed up...... yes it was a Lambo...... and they wonder why eh? Now today it is a little chilly at -11 c....................... enjoy your stay in the west as best you can pal........ wish it was under better circumstances
