1:32 Tamiya Spitfire Mk.VIII RAAF "Grey Nurse"
Grant replied to rieser's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
That's amazing Ralph, it's incredible how the artwork completely changes the "profile" of the Spitfire. I love your airbrush work .. always have. -
I've just seen my dream set up! Arrow Wolf will moving its Global HQ from our Dining Room into a 10' x 10' summer house in the garden at some point in the future and I now have a visual plan to work from. I hope you won't mind if I save a picture or two of you set up? Did I say how much I liked it??

Eduard 1:4 Bf109E panel
Grant replied to NOVAModeler's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Ahem .... Just in case ! http://www.arrow-wolf.com/product/eduard-14-messerschmitt-bf109e-instrument-panel/ http://www.arrow-wolf.com/product/eduard-quarter-scale-bf-110c-instrument-panel/ Your 109 panel looks absolutely terrific - what do you intend doing with it? I've got both on the go at the moment and, although they're very "deep") I want to have them framed so as to hang on the wall of my "office". Grant -
This is what I got today .... Hangover !!

I'd be very interested to talk about having some in my shop Johan. Can you sent me details? My email is in my Profile details.

I even get criticised by my cats !!!

Excellent Rog ... when you're ready start a thread in the Large Scale Aircraft build section. I know I'll be watching.

OOhh! I'm in !! I've loved the Catalina ever since I used to see one flying over the bay in Majorca every morning. I love its awkward looks and the fact that it's a sea-plane - thank you for bringing this to LSM so we can all enjoy what appears to be a great model. << NOT jealous all ... Not jealous ... Not .. Oh! b*gger it.... Hell yes, of course I'm jealous!>>

Sorry to hear that Steve, I wish her all the very best and a speedy recovery. PS: I know what they're like (MRI's) - I've had loads and they're never pleasant and, in fact, I'm having a Brain Scan and an MRI on Thursday afternoon (and before someone says it.. they're probably looking for the reason I'm a retailer in the modelling world ! )

Arado AR-196 WIP with ship's catapult.
Grant replied to PAnderson's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Wow, the sled may have been a pain in the ass but it was definitely a worthwhile one Paul, that's some fantastic work. I'd love to be able to learn how to solder like that. (How did I miss this topic ?? I must be a complete Muppet!!) -
Very organised, neat and tidy ! Super.

Bf 109F-4 Trop; Hans-Joachim Marseille
Grant replied to One-Oh-Four's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
No apologies necessary Sir! I agree, better to be motivated than feel pressured into finishing something just for a "paper" deadline. Great effort though and thanks for entering. I could recommend a Zoukei-Mura P-51 that can be re-marked for the Pacific theatre or even Korea- 16 replies

I'd always be interested in anything that's new, unique and of quality for retailing though my shop. I agree with the above re conversion sets but if you do decide to go down the route of full kits then I reckon the Whirlwind is a serious goer. However, there's one German bomber missing from the 1/32nd crowd, the Dornier Do-17 and, with the one being salvaged off the coast of Kent, interest within the aviation community is rising. Whatever you decide, I really wish you luck with your enterprise and if there's anything Arrow Wolf can do to help then please, by all means, let me know.

Burnout special Bachem Ba 349V 'Natter'
Grant replied to James H's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Oooh !! Can I have your autograph ??? (I'm certainly going to buy a copy !!) -
Ah the trials and tribulations of wanting to build the Trumpeter MiG 3 ... all fired up, of course, by Jeroen's Polikarpov, Jim's Il-2 etc and encouraged by Dave J so ...... First, I ordered the BigEd set for the above which arrived on Thursday from the suppliers with nothing in the rather less than fancy envelope!, Nada, Nil, Zip, as bare as Old Mother Hubbards Cupboard, as bare as Jim's head "No biggie!" I thought. Despite being disappointed at not being able to play with my nice new shiny toys, I contacted the supplier and then on Saturday a replacement arrived, I checked with trepidation and ....... all there ! Hooray !! Went to look for the model and ...... nowhere to be found I searched everywhere and then double checked the sales records. I'd forgotten that I'd sold it last February !!! NUMPTY !!!

Brilliant Jeroen and you're absolutely right! The HGW PE makes a huge amount of difference. The sharpness of detail that PE brings is completely unmatched by anything from plastic, as a returnee to the hobby ... I think that photo-etch is THE greatest innovation for the last 20 or so years. I love what you've done with this mate ... I've got one in stock in case anyone wants to have a go too

I'd like some HiTech versions for the shop....... I really would like to talk to you about this Petr so will drop you an email soon if I may. Grant. -
Well, you're certainly in the right place if you need any spares (hugely unlikely though - WnW's are extraordinary !) - great choice, it's a great looking aircraft.

I'm now officially converted ... I bought one of these which was delivered today and put what I believed to be a clean airbrush through it and ... (excuse the crappy iPhone pictures) I couldn't believe how much crap came out of it! I then did my watch and it looks brand new now. I really recommend these ... I'm completely converted to them.

David ... Stunning, just stunning work ! Love it.
