  1. I said so elsewhere but ... man, I'm glad you've signed up here. Your scratch building skills are as unreal as your Airscale products. Brilliant stuff and tutorials as well, can't get better than that can it?
  2. <<not jealous of the lucky swine>> Oh, how nice Jeroen! What a wonderful surprise !! Kidding aside, I'm looking forward to seeing it parked under the wing of the DH.2 !!
  3. Great review Jim - I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and am completely blown away with this model. I can see where the price comes from ... can you imagine how labour intensive this kit is to manufacture? amazing, and superb collaboration between Eduard, HpH, HGW and Master Model. Dave! See you in about 10 months after you get yours I reckon it'll take that long even with intensive full time modelling but ... I can't wait.
  4. Hmm, that's a sad story but it's nice that you're doing something in his memory. Good for you, that's a really decent thing.
  5. Have UPS or the US Post Office set up their own branch at your house?? It must be a helluva well trod pathway to your front door Am really interested in what you think about those Gaia clear coats.
  6. I agree with Matt, you're blazing the trail here and I'm in no position to offer advice. All I can do is admire your work as usual.
  7. Wow, you have been a busy bee - and will be even busier in the future. Great choice of models there.
  8. Good call Matt, totally agree with that.
  9. This really is inspirational and extraordinary stuff - your painting (and masking) skills are way out there; this is fantastic to watch. Thank you.
  10. I honestly think that how the display is devised and executed adds a huge amount to the finished article - I'm seriously impressed with the way the Pfalz is displayed, that brush aluminium Iron Cross with the cut out names etc is excellent. Great pictures guys, love the 1:16th Mk.IV and, of course, the Minion
  11. So ... that's 3 of us; a great start to a petition ! Oi! Revell !! take note Seriously though, I agree wholeheartedly with Ed, it really would seem to be the logical progression - a Do-17 to accompany their excellent Heinkel and Junkers aircraft.
  12. Not my cup of tea but I agree with Matt, nice to see something different. Someone somewhere will pick up on my repeated calls for a Do-17 !! With the wreck being lifted from the sands off the coast of Kent then surely interest will pique !
  13. Great aren't they - sadly numbers are limited and those are the only versions available but if there are any amongst them that you want then let me know and I'll see what I can do, the enamel is superbly done and they have a "weight" to them if you get my meaning ... they are NOT cheaply made or tacky in appearance.
  14. So there I was, out shopping with "the enemy" when I was dragged kicking and screaming into a charity shop. Adopting the usual sulky stance when I somewhere I don't want to be when all of a sudden I spied the shop's bookshelves ... the long and the short of it is that for roughly £20 I bought these : (Sorry for the iPhone pictures by the way) .. Some of the "Aeroplane" Magazines have some amazing articles on certain aircraft restoration and, consequently, loads of great reference pictures - at £0.69p each they were a steal: This Spitfire book is in absolutely pristine condition and the contents aren't merely confined to the venerable Spit but also includes loads of other fighters too. These enamel badges arrived in the post yesterday ... I managed to find these beautifully enamelled Luftwaffe Unit badges (I've only one of each but I will try for more soon) and I'm thinking of offering them on a new "Miscellaneous / Militaria" page on the website: JG-1 JG-3 Udet JG-7 1/JG-1 I think they'll look nice on a plinth if you've built a model from that particular Geschwader or Gruppe,
  15. Rog, are you sure you didn't buy up the surplus stock from a model store ! You ARE going to busy, to coin a phrase from Rick! Wow.
  16. Paul, I'm so glad you've gone for this. I know you were looking for something out of the ordinary and this certainly fits the bill. I'm watching with great (and envious) interest. From what you've shown so far ... very impressed.
  17. Wow, never seen this one done before .... I'm watching, front row seat <<... oi, budge up! a little more ... ah, that's it. And you mate! Hey, no elbows! >>
  18. Just in case ...... I got a feeling that if you look at Arrow Wolf for some gun bay details or cockpit interior sets for the F6F-3 then you might just find them
  19. Thanks Jeroen, I'm certain you'd enjoy it and equally certain you'd do a better job with it!
