  1. Work progresses, adding all the little details, I keep plugging away. The Eduard N is getting all the optional PE added. this is no longer the shelf of doom, but the waiting for paint que...
  2. Right now here in TN, all schools are closed for the next three weeks. I am out of work, my son is home, my wife is working from home, my two in-laws, and one dog...are all quarantined in one house. It’s getting crazy, and it’s only been 5 days so far.
  3. I ordered from them directly about a year ago, but have not done so recently. Also, be aware, many businesses are shutdown due to worldwide quarantine. It makes sense that they might shut down ordering if they can’t make it into their offices. Might be a good idea to contact them and ask if they are open for business.
  4. I am going senile, I think. I spent two days looking for the Eduard P-40 “Daddy Please” decals for my plane, I gave away all other decals from the kit, specifically because I only wanted to do this plane, now I can’t find the damn things! WTF?!?! I remember I put them in a plastic bag and “saved” them, now they are gone! I am my own worst enemy sometimes.
  5. Yes, but it will be later, not in this current batch of 5. I have a RNZAF "M" model still in the box.
  6. Maybe, I'm a little torn whether to do RCAF "E" model from the Aleutians, or do one from USAAF in Burma. Time will tell how I feel about it.
  7. Family photo again. 3 ready for paint, 1 in progress, 1 waiting for its turn. 2 more are still on the SOD and need more sanding than I want to do right now.
  8. I’m down to 3 rolls, getting nervous. Might have to go see if HD has any bidets.
  9. I believe I had Covid-19. Last Monday I got very sick, sicker than i have ever been. Sunday - I had a tickle in my lungs, and through the day I felt like I had to cough, but it was dry and never did cough. Monday - 7:00 am I woke up and took my son to school, by the time I got back, I had a headache. I went up to my office, started to do some stuff, by 9:00 I felt exhausted and was regretting breakfast, so I sat down on the couch. I felt VERY cold and feet felt like they were in ice blocks. I decided to go take a long hot shower, the hot water helped, but I was getting very tired standing there. 10:00, I sat down on the bed and felt like something was wrong. My head was splitting open, I decided to take my temp, it was 101.5. I took some Tylenol and laced down for a quick nap, next thing I knew it was 1:00 pm, I felt worse. I was also sweating like I was in a dumpster in Houston in August. I took my temp again, 103.2! I pounded back a few more Tylenol, told my wife she needs to pick up my son from school. The next three days through Thursday my temp stayed between 102F and nearly 104F. I was sweating, sleeping, hallucinating, and had the single worst headache I have ever had, a headache that still comes and goes in waves over a week later. I have no energy and a dry cough. I did go to an urgent care, they told me I had the flu, gave me tamiflu and told me to take Tylenol. I have had the Flu before, but never like this. luckily, I used common sense and would disinfect everything I touched, I coughed in a t-shirt so as not to spread anything, and I quarantined myself at home. None of my family got this, but I really do think I had this. As bad as this was, I could see how elderly and children could really affected by this.
  10. You got that backwards, triple digits guaranteed, might get lucky and see high 90s. Bring lots of Gold Bond for your balls.
  11. I’m glad this came up, I just ordered a jar of 1500 black to use as primer. I always used Stynilrez Matte Black, but I am running low and my supplier was out, so I’ll give the 1500 a go. Although, I recently sprayed MRP paint, and where I used Stynilrez, it came out beautiful., however, where I sprayed MRP over bare plastic, I was able to see sanding scratches.
  12. Congratulations Tony! Welcome to fatherhood! Those will make a great mobile.
  13. I have played around and am finding that 22 psi was too much, 20 was better, and 15 is much better. I was getting a lot of excess overspray with pressures I would use for Tamiya paint.
  14. There is a lock-on book that is a detailed walk around of the Wessex, probably a worthwhile investment for anyone building it.
  15. Thankfully, it’s not a very expensive kit, I believe it’s $60 USD, $80 for the one with extras.
  16. Seriously, you need to put all your corsairs on a table one day and take a picture.
  17. True, I turned down an opportunity to get a KH Blakhawk, now I wish I had one to compare. I don't build many Academy kits at all, so this is a first for me. But to be honest, not many manufacturers deliver Tamiya quality, so, you just have to deal with it, and do your best.
  18. Do yourself a favor, don’t build an academy one. Fit was so bad, I kept rereading the instructions to understand what was wrong. The cabin does not fit the fuselage, parts protrude that interfere, yet they serve a purpose, and you still have gaps all around in the doorways. Then things just don’t line up when you do get it together, and you need to sand 2mm off some parts just to get it close. (This is even in the Eduard PE instructions).
  19. Having used Dk Gull Gray over gray primer on both interiors of the Blackhawks, I realized that this stuff does not go far at all. I used 40% of a fresh full bottle on the the interiors of each kit. However, I have no complaints on the color quality, sprayability, and especially easy clean up.
  20. Started poisoning myself with lacquers today, I mean painting...did I say poison? I also learned that 30 ml or MRP paint does not go as far as a bottle of a 10 ml Tamiya jar.
