  1. More progress but one more problem found. I test fit the rear gunners turtleback window and found this problem with the fit. It's one thing after another on this SB2CSOB. 😐
  2. Gonna be some outstanding models for sure Peter. I look forward to following along.
  3. LOL Gaz. I hope it will be worth all the hassle but we will see.
  4. Thank you Ernie. I hope and expect this one will be a good looking model despite all the problems. However Ernie, there is NO WAY I'll want to build another one. ðŸĪŠ
  5. Outstanding Peter! Really nice work and a model to be proud of.
  6. I very much appreciate the kind comments! It helps to make the build more worthwhile when you know it might be a inspiration to other modelers.
  7. Thanks Peter. The poor quality of most of the moldings and related fit problems do take away a lot of the enjoyment. I've done some preliminary work on the wings and I have to say, it looks like THAT'S going to be a real chore. 😉
  8. A little more progress. The windscreen seems to be fitting fairly well now. I attached the engine and taped the cowling in place to check it's fit. Topside is okay but the underside is another story. I'll have to lay on some styrene strip there. Just another thing to fix. ðŸĪŠ
  9. After I did a little trimming/sanding it looks acceptable now.
  10. Yes Ernie I did check references thank you. I did do a little trimming and the fit is better now. I'll just say, this and some of the other headaches, shouldn't have to be addressed in a kit that costs so much. I wasn't expecting Hasegawa or Tamiya quality when I started the build but come on, Infinity Models quality of fit, etc should equal the quality of the surface detail on the SB2CSOB. 😐
  11. LOL Hubert! I don't see how those guys stay in business issuing such crappy kits. The 3 HpH P-63's I built all had some challenges but nothing like this SB2CSOB. I intend to stay with the build but sometimes I think why put up with all the problems when there are some nice Tamiya and Hasegawa kits on the shelf waiting for attention.
  12. Agreed Andy. I've built 3 of their P-63 kits and enjoyed every one. No shake and bake builds but at least things FIT.
  13. May I suggest Hubert that you purchase one and try to build it? If you are a scratch builder at heart this might be your cup of tea.
  14. Good call I think Peter! Here's a link to their Vampire, https://www.infinitymodels.cz/en/pripravujeme/vampire/
  15. When word gets around they won't be able to sell many kits. Not until they make some drastic improvements. 🙄
  16. Those guys should post a blanket apology for inflicting this piece of junk on us. Really does hurt their reputation. ðŸĪŠ
  17. LOL Dennis. If you do then be prepared for a high cuss factor build! I think they had the "C" team on this one, certainly not, I hope, the "A" or "B" team.
  18. I'd recommend waiting for a kit review Peter before forking out any $$$ for what might be another crappy kit.
  19. Once I get the windscreen corrected I just wonder what will be next. Those guys at Infinity need to get their act together. As for me, I won't be buying any more of their kits. 🙄
