  1. Way to go Chris! That's what I call a early start!!! LOL πŸ™‚
  2. Soon
  3. It was to make it easier for the AA gunners to see who was friend and who was foe.
  4. Thank you Peter. πŸ™‚ It's coming right along. I expect to have it finished in a couple of days. No more 110's for a while! LOL
  5. Number 3 in the Bf-110 builds. This one is a little different from the first 2 night fighter builds. It IS a night fighter but it's primary mission was as a flare dropper. The unusual paint scheme caught my eye and I decided to haul out the old ProModeler kit that's been in my closet for a loooong time. I haven't done any WIP photos as I posted plenty of those on my 2 previous builds. At any rate, it's nearing completion and I decided to post a couple of pics. I'll over spray the gloss paint job with some clear flat in a bit.
  6. Wow Scott! Rest up and follow doctor's orders. Hopefully you will be much better SOON. πŸ™‚ John
  7. I hope you will have a full recovery and soon Chris! I just turned 77 last week and fortunately have no pressing health issues (fingers crossed!). Take care and get mo betta soon! πŸ™‚ John
  8. Thanks Peter. I think it came out okay and I'm glad you like it. πŸ™‚
  9. Here's a book on Marine PBJ's Kevin that has some good info and photos. Just thought I'd throw that out there! πŸ™‚
  10. You are very welcome Kevin. I'm always glad to help (or at least try to!).
  11. I have to say I really didn't notice the white gear but since you asked I think aluminum would have been the way to go. At any rate, checking my library that covers such things, I think aluminum would be correct. I did a 1/48 PBJ a while back and I did the gear in Alclad aluminum. Now this isn't to say your model is "wrong" as there may have been some PBJ's with white gear. At any rate, your model looks really good. πŸ™‚
  12. Finished and RFI. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/20309-bf-110g-4-148-rfi/
  13. Calling this one done. A very nice and detailed Eduard kit. The only after market items were the pilot's and gunner/radar operator's seat belts by FineMolds. I substituted a few items from a old Revell 1/48 kit which includes the antennas, some of the black boxes in the cockpit and the drop tanks. Painted with Xtracolor except for the cockpit which is Testor's. Attaching those antennas is a tedious high cuss-factor operation! LOL I hope y'all like it! πŸ™‚
  14. Great looking PBJ Kevin. Nice work. πŸ™‚
  15. Wow Chris! That's a neat looking B-58. Very unusual scheme but really cool! πŸ™‚
  16. Painting and decaling completed. Antennas, props, exhausts, gear doors, and wing tanks are next to be attached.
  17. Thanks Peter. I've applied the decals and am giving them time to "set", etc then I'll overspray with clear flat. I still have the exhaust flame dampeners, landing gear doors, and radar antennas to attach. I figure it'll be finished either late today or some time Sunday. Just in time for the next group build (Sandbox I hope) which I have a Hasegawa Bf-109F-4 of JG27 in N. Africa for that. Already done a little preliminary stuff such as a Barracuda spinner/props.
  18. Just getting ready to start decaling.
  19. That would be nice!!! πŸ™‚
  20. Thank you Peter. πŸ™‚ Ya just can't go wrong with Xtracolor.
  21. I guess the person who has the job of compiling the tally is............a tally whacker???? LOL πŸ˜„
  22. LOL Pretty slick alright! I really like that Xtracolor as it always sprays nice and smooth. Plus, being glossy, there is no need for a overcoat of clear gloss. πŸ˜€
  23. Painting with Xtracolor under way.
  24. Thanks Martin. This one was in bad need of a cleanup and re-paint. It had sat on the shelf gathering dust for far too long.
  25. Yes indeed! Got lucky I guess. πŸ™‚
