LOL Peter, thanks. I agree about the benefits of 1/48. The only "problem" is the parts are smaller (especially the very small fiddle-bits) which makes it a bit difficult to see them and attach them. Chalk that up though to my 76 year old eyes!
It's such a basic kit there's no problem at all in getting it built and ready for paint, etc. My only problem is it's hard for me to clearly see the little dark colored parts such as the landing gear assembly clearly. Lots of good lighting is necessary!
I expect to have it painted and start decaling today.
I dunno Peter.🙄 I recommend holding off on getting another KH P-39 until you see some kit reviews. If it's the same ol' same ol' don't waste your money, etc.
This one's been in my stash for quite a while and now is the time to build it. Should be a easy build with little or no after market stuff except for the decals. This Navy bird on this Aeromaster sheet will be the subject.
This kit originally was a P-39N/Q but I decided to build it as a P-400. That doesn't call for any big modifications just leave off the .50 wing mounts and replace the kit exhausts with P-400 type exhausts. I don't have any of that type and that is why I've asked here for some help. ZILCH so far.
