All done with this one. Painted with Alclad Duraluminum, Tamiya yellow and red, and my own mix for interior green. Decals are from the Kagero Fighters Over Italy book. The black pinstriping is Microscale. It's a nice kit and easy to build. No after market parts were used. I hope you like it! 🙂

Black stripes now in place. Still a lot too do. Looks a bit strange without them on the inboards.

I'm currently working on this build and am a little undecided as to which a/c it will be. Both are in the Kagero Topcolors book with decals. I like them both so we will see soon which one I decide on. 🙂

LOL Hubert. Thanks for the kind comments. I decided it had been on my shelf long enough (a number of years) and, since I'm not getting any younger, went on and "got with the program" 🙂. Had some ups and downs but I'm glad to have it done. Even with the crappy canopy (they give you 2 and both are SNAFU'd). 🙄

Thanks Kevin. It's too bad the canopies are so crappy. The rear canopy fit pretty well but the pilots canopy just does not fit well at all. It would be great if some after market folks would come up with alternate injection molded canopies but I don't think that ever happen. Certainly would be nice though! 🙄

I finally got the vac clear parts trimmed and painted today. Terrible fit but I got 'em as good as I could.

Calling this one done. Mostly OOB except for the Aires cockpit. Painted with White Ensign Colourcoats. Decals, except for the national insignias, are from the Kagero book on the P-38. The white triangle on the tail I made using white decal paper. I'm pleased with the way it turned out and I hope y'all like to too!

It has had it's moments Carl! I had to do a LOT of trimming on the turbo chargers to get them to finally fit. The windscreen piece hasn't really fit well and I wish I had taken the trouble to fix it before painting, etc so it's just too late to address that now. Oh well. I should have it finished up in a day or two. 🙂
