  1. Coming right along.....
  2. It's coming along well Peter. You can't beat Tamiya for excellent fit and detail. That's one reason I like their 1/32 birds so much. The P-51 and Corsair are available from other manufacturers but still, I think, Tamiya is the best. It would be great if Hasegawa (since Tamiya isn't issuing any more 1/32's) would issue some P-51B/C's and F4U-4's in 1/32 to go along with their P-40's. Then we'd need for them to re-issue the P-40N, K and M kits. Now THAT would be outstanding but I doubt it'll ever happen. We can hope though! 🙂
  3. Current status. My research tells me that, starting in 1945 or so, the interiors of the Corsairs were beginning to be a mix of the older Dull Dk. Green and yellow/green zinc chromate with black side consoles. Since this one is a Okinawa bird I feel that will suit the model just fine. 🙂
  4. Thank you! 🙂
  5. Your '109 is coming along very well Chris. Looks great!!🙂
  6. I'd be afraid I'd cut myself with my exacto!!! LOL I still follow the instructions and if I didn't I'd be sure to foul up somewhere.
  7. Making some good progress on the "front office". 🙄
  8. Thanks Chris. I hope you find something there that is usable. 🙂
  9. By the case would be nice for sure! LOL I'm leaning toward the checkered nose and tail one. Ought to look good!🙂
  10. Heck yeah Hubert! LOL 🙂
  11. It's been a good while since I did a Corsair model so now is the time to remedy that. I plan to do one or the other of these two subjects. I've been busy on some of the preliminary stuff (instrument panel, etc) and will post a photo soon.
  12. Thanks Martin.🙂
  13. Thanks Peter. groprgewous??? That's a new one on me LOL.
  14. I'm glad you like it Dennis. thanks! 🙂
  15. Finished. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/20353-hasegawa-132-bf-109f-for-the-gb-rfi/
  16. I'm calling this one done. I think it will fit in okay for the GB. 🙂 Painted with MM RLM79 and White Ensign RLM78. Decals are from my decal stash. After market items are the FineMold belts and the Quick Boost spinner/props. Otherwise OOB. I hope you like it! Remember please to click on the 1st photo for best resolution and to view as a slide show.
  17. Coming to the finish line. Just have a few odds and ends to get attached. 🙂
  18. Decaling completed.
  19. Thanks Kevin. I cut off the little slat guides and then I can fit them with no gap. 🙂 We've had about 24 hours of rain but that's about it thank God. How about y'all?
  20. Thanks! Looks like I'll be able to find what I'm looking for. Thanks again! 🙂
  21. I've been trying to find a source for these but, so far, all I can come up with is Tamiya's paint "names" such as Flat Black and their reference number such as XF-1 for flat black etc and no RLM reference numbers. I'd like to get some as I really like their acrylics. Can someone give me some info as to what color(s) are actually RLM colors? Thanks in advance. Confused!😄 John
  22. Thanks for the nice comment Peter. All I can do is try. 🙂
  23. Thanks. I'm pleased with the way it's coming along. I'll give it some drying time then start on adding the decals. 🙂
