And as soon as I had the model completed they would announce the FAA a/c.

I hate to tell you guys this but I'm going to switch to a USMC -1A instead of a FAA a/c. This is due to a couple of things and down deep I feel like Tamiya is going to surprise us with a FAA version at some point (for one thing, the model has the fuselage air intake "holes" on either side which is only, as far as I know, on FAA a/c). We'll just have to wait and see. Sorry to disappoint y'all but that's the way it is.

Cockpit finished. Due to problems with the Sutton belts I have (had) I decided to go on and use US belts.

Thanks!

Thank you!

Thanks Harv!

Thanks Rob. It's a Mk. IV with overall GSB paint. Thanks for the info!

Thank you Gaz!

LOL Thanks! The interior green came out fairly yellow in those photos. Don't know why as they are more green than yellow "in person".

Thanks for that info. Now I'll use the British seat belts.

You are missing a good one. The DVD is available on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Sahara-Bruce-Bennett/dp/B009NY3R68/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=Sahara&qid=1605891301&sr=8-4

You are doing a really nice job on the model! Looks great.

That was a great movie Harv.

I haven't found anything to tell me the FAA Corsairs were modified to British specs (except for the wing tips). As far as I know the Brits added the air scoops and vent on the fuselage but anything else like seat belts I just do not know for sure. I too would like to be better informed as to the mods so I can build a accurate a/c.

Looking really good! Too bad it's one of the ugliest tanks ever! LOL

Still no word from Dana.

Interesting. I'm leaning toward the US seat belts but who knows, it might be the Sutton setup. I sent Dana Bell a message about this so hopefully he will have a answer.

Thanks Bill. I agree.
-
LOL Please do!

I'll do that just for grins a little later on. As far as I am aware yes, the interior colors were the same.

As is my usual procedure when starting a new build, I spray paint most of the interior parts so they will be ready for assembly. Makes the build go smoother (at least for me it does).

Can't say as the sheet hasn't arrived yet.
