  1. Thanks Gaz. I didn't go "over the top" on adding wiring, etc since it would be hard to easily see. And I'm lazy.
  2. Just about finished with the front end. I painted it with my mix of flat scale black and added some Eduard instrument panels, etc. Seats, since they were leather, I painted straight flat black. And you can see where the wireless ops windows have been re-located (messy inside, not outside!).
  3. Yes indeed it is Ernie!
  4. Thanks Kev. I'm glad you like it.
  5. I will whenever the time comes. Not real soon I'm afraid.
  6. Thanks! I used a semi-gloss "scale black" that I mixed using MM Flat Black, MM Gloss Black and some MM Flat White. Using the white gives it more of a scale look than just dead black. When finished I oversprayed the whole model with Alclad Clear Flat. I usually use a mix I call "flat scale black" on various things like radios, tires, etc.
  7. Got the radio operator's windows re-located.
  8. I decided to go on and pick up the HK 1/48 B-17G as a Christmas present to myself. (The 1/32 4-engine birds are just TOO big.) Now I know for sure I'll get a new kit for Christmas! LOL
  9. LOL When I resumed work on it it had been sitting 2/3's complete for nearly a year.
  10. Yes it is. And the kit is hard to find now. Thanks!
  11. Thank you. It's a really nice kit.
  12. Thanks Bill! And thanks for the paint!
  13. Thanks. It's a very nice kit.
  14. LOL The only thing I think I will change is the radio operator's window as it is apparent that it's in the wrong place. The other things I can live with.
  15. Thanks Rockie. A Tamiya 1/32 Mosquito was next and is now finished. Next up now is a Tamiya 1/48 Lancaster.
  16. My pleasure Phil.
  17. Thanks Phil! That Xtracolor paint is 1st class.
  18. 61105 Phil.
  19. ???
  20. I don't know about that but the "new" issue has some added sprues with the thin prop blades, provisions to mount the props without having to use the Merlins, a new tail turret w/twin .50's , optional clear nose glass and new exhausts (so it can be built without the shrouds). Here's a photo of the added sprues.
  21. Well that's not too much to work with. Looks like it can be done without too much trouble. By the way, this issue comes with smooth tires. I'll go peruse my kit and do some considering as to just what approach I might want to take. Thanks for the enlightenment!
  22. This issue would be the one to get since Tamiya has done a upgrade with additional parts and options (such as the early thin bladed props plus the .50 cal. tail gun installation).
