I just noticed there's a "Show Me" catagory here and that reminded me of this: If you ever watched the TV Show "Fringe" (I was a big fan) you might remember when anyone on "the other side" was asked for a ID they had to present their "Show Me" card. Also, there was a large corporation called "Massive Dynamic". I decided to get a Show Me card and a Massive Dynamic ID card just for grins.🙂 Pretty cool I think. The "Fringe" web site might still have these available if anyone is interested in getting one. Great mementos to have as I loved that show and it's cast, especially Walter Bishop (John Noble). I wish they'd do a new followup series or maybe at least a movie.

All done. Repainted with Testor's and Colourcoats. Decals are Eaglecals except for the national insignia which are Tamiya. I tried not to overdo the weathering and I think I got it done okay. Used but not abused as they say. I hope y'all like the way it turned out. 🙂

I think this is about as far as I'll go with the weathering. Still have a good bit to do before I can call it done. 🙂

A few adjustments made. Tomorrow I'll start on some weathering.

One of the first things I'll do is remove the white circular marking. Tried it to see if it looked okay but decided to remove it.

Finished with decaling. Now for some serious weathering. 🙂

I got the bug for another Birdcage build but I don't have one 🙄. As a alternative I decided to re do this one to a VMF 213 a/c named Gus's Gopher. This is it's current status with nearly all of the decals in place. I intend to do another FAA bird but will probably use a -1A and make the needed adjustments (clipped wings, etc). Stay tuned.

It's possible it's Dark Mediterranean Blue which was used on some of those a/c. I had to do some searching to find a source and came up with "Arcus" made in "EU". I don't know for certain but it's worth checking out.

All done with this one. FineMolds belts are the only after market items. Otherwise OOB. Painted with Testors, Tamiya, and Compucolor. Markings are mostly kit decals and some from my decal stash. These Hasegawa P-40's are enjoyable builds and build up to be nice models. I hope you like it. 🙂
