  1. Finished and RFI. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/20567-p-40k-rfi/
  2. Converting this Hasegawa P-40E to a K was easy using the resin tail from Tim Biggers. The only other after market items were the FineMolds belts and Eduard exhausts. I painted it with a combination of Xtracolor, Testor's, and Tamiya paints. Decals are Barracudacals except for the national insignia which is from the kit. The decal instructions show the spinner to be blue and dark earth which, referring to a photo, is incorrect. It actually was white and blue as shown in this photo. 🙂 (There is the possibility it was repainted at some point.) I hope you like it. 🙂
  3. Thanks Kevin. Decaling is complete and now I'm getting some weathering done. 🙂
  4. Ready for decals. 🙂
  5. I've bought FineMolds seat belts from them several times. No problems and good service.
  6. I'm waiting for the Eduard exhausts to be delivered so, for the moment, the build is on hold. I expect them in the next day or so. 🙂
  7. I agree rafju but short of more cutting & filling I think this method works best. At least for me.
  8. Thanks Scott! 🙂
  9. Thank you Carl. Not bad at all. 🙂
  10. As of this afternoon.
  11. Thanks Scott. I'm glad you like it. I remember that old flap jack kit. Never built one though. 🙂

  16. Thank you Phil! I'm glad you like it.🙂
  17. Thanks Kevin. Those FineMolds belts work well for me.
  18. I just happen to have a set of these Scott. I'd be happy to send them to you if you want them. John
  19. Thank you Kevin. I appreciate the comment. 🙂
  20. I wonder why this build hasn't gotten any comments? Uninteresting subject? 🙄
  21. Thanks Martin. The Hasegawa P-40 kits are all good kits and enjoyable builds and I know you will like building the model. 🙂
  22. Innards about done. I used the kit decals for the IP.
  23. Count me in for a couple of N tails Tim. 🙂
  24. Yep, I'm hopeful it will go well. 🙂
  25. I just received this very nice resin P-40K tail from Tim Biggers so now I'll be converting a Hasegawa P-40E to a K.
