John I'll be waiting. -
Mark Some amazing CF work and the gearbox easily looks better then it does on the real deal. Glad you are still moving forward with the McLaren.

John Another beauty ... fit and finish is perfect - and the very light weathering is right up my ally. Beautiful work 🏆 -
John I'm just blown away. At this point you'll need to add an extension to the house.

That's not very good news at all for kits residing in that price range. -
Oliver Nic progress on the generator and details - can't wait to see the remaining details and then the painting begins.
-
Hi Chris Going to most likely use the same SH kit as John .. only other choice would be the KH kit, and I'm not crazy about going down that route.
-
John Super progress and like your idea of replicating the 'sand' leading edges.
-
Paul Glad your order arrived safe and sound.

Looking forward to the painting update

Carl I know the feeling so well. In June I started a Tamiya P-51D (Early) build thread and with the medical issues my wife and I are going through and some home issues, I set the Mustang on the stash shelf to be safe and secure and completely forgot about it, moving onto other builds that have been started and finished. She is back on the bench and underway again with the Kotare Spitfire. I'm holding out and waiting for the Mystere. Maybe not too many years down the road we'll have the Neptune and the B-47 which would be a dream come true. -
John Amazing progress ... a new meaning to steady and consistent work.

Looking forward to a review and build thread down the road. Now the waiting starts -
Paul I know but it still sounds just too risky.

Ernie Right with Carl -
Why bother when there are so many very reliable venders to deal with, who ship very quickly and are responsive to customer emails and inquirers.
-
Thanks Bill. I've heard from Peter and my order is on the way. Unfortunately, shipping doesn't have tracking but I'm in no rush.

Thanks Ernie, Good to know how you altered the mix. I decided to go with the color callouts in the instructions but to use the 'faded' mixes they suggest - will be interesting to see how they match up to your mixes. I'm looking at my next build, going all Mr Color as well, as tey are incredible paints and I love the finish they yield - the instructions for that kit color callouts are all Mr Color .. I'll be a happy camper. All goes well, I'll be painting by the end of next week. I normally shoot MRP straight from the bottle and nearly neck and neck is Mr Color. When it comes to shooting a gloss color/finish - there is Mr Color and then everyone else.
