  1. Rob Amazing progress, mast assembly looks so good.
  2. John Looking mighty good and you're flying the the F4.
  3. Gaz Hope you are starting to feel better especially after those five shots. Figure placement seems quite natural as everyone is doing something and looking the part,
  4. Thanks Gaz Greatly appreciate you passing along the technique.
  5. Great subject but I'll be also taking a pass, due to the kit being in 1/35 scale. I can understand why they did their Stuka in 1/35 but haven't bought it either due to the scale.
  6. Let's just drop the whole topic.
  7. Hubert Just as shame as we are paying for this service and there should be a penalty to the shipper for not delivering their parcel on time.
  8. Smitty I know. They random build photos should be in their own thread so if you are following what someone is doing, so you don't have to search for it. Why not just make it easier for those following?
  9. John It's always something
  10. Paul Talk about horrendous service! I've been very lucky over the years with both UPS and FedEX have been 100% reliable. Even the USPS has been very good, just tasks a little longer. Just seems it all starts with the vendor and if at their end things start off bad, things just go downhill. Just glad you finally received what you paid for.
  11. Smitty I'm not talking about that at all ... just posting build threads there, which shouldn't be there.
  12. Rob And the HMS Sphinx is sitting in the wings. As your talents and skills keep upping your game, I can feel it in my bones, we will be treated to many more superb and inspiring wooden ship builds.
  13. Smitty My main two sources for 98% of my purchase's: SH &SB - Awesome and none better.
  14. Smitty Still doesn't make any sense. For whatever the reasons Martin started his build, all but the opening post should be done in a dedicated build thread. I'm not just saying Martin's build but everyone who posts their ongoing work here. The intent I believe, is to show what you are working on and not keep a running build going mixed in amongst everyone else's. Just too confusing.
  15. Martin I understand but you're missing the point. What is the difference of posting your photos of your build in a dedicated thread, making it easy for us to follow and appreciate or posting it here, where it gets lost and there is no continuity. Same amount of time is needed.
  16. Mark Not sure ... who is the distributer for your neck of the woods and I would try them first. If it's a recent purchase and from a retailer, maybe they can help you replacing the missing parts.
  17. Carl They look so good ...and so very well done.
  18. Will be ordering a few sets for my next few Tamiya Tomcat builds ... they are just incredible.
  19. Ernie Late catching up and surely seems as if everyone had a grand Fourth. So glad all enjoyed the holiday.
  20. Nice to see the old kits being built. Sue looks as if the box has had a hard life. Very nice progress.
  21. John I knew the lower pitot was much smaller, but I should have looked closer. On my Tamiya Phantom, I took the easy way out, removed both, drilled out the mounting holes and added turned brass pitot's from Master at the very end. Also been there over the years losing a few of those air scoops and now use more glue then necessary to fix them in place.
  22. Gaz Amazing work ... sculpturing figures ... a skill on a whole new level. Following with great interest and admiration. Like Robs DoK, you're on a whole new level of modeling.
  23. Rob Modeling on a completely new and different level, new challenges to conquer and the jewel in the crown: DoK for display. Any thoughts on how and where you are going to display her?
  24. Martin, Thank You I've now more then doubled my artillery knowledge
  25. John Fantastic progress - your Toom is looking so good. Most amazing of all, ou have made it this far in the build and haven't broken off the pitot tubes on the vertical stabilizer.😉
