Carl They look so good ...and so very well done.

Will be ordering a few sets for my next few Tamiya Tomcat builds ... they are just incredible.

Nice to see the old kits being built. Sue looks as if the box has had a hard life. Very nice progress.

John I knew the lower pitot was much smaller, but I should have looked closer. On my Tamiya Phantom, I took the easy way out, removed both, drilled out the mounting holes and added turned brass pitot's from Master at the very end. Also been there over the years losing a few of those air scoops and now use more glue then necessary to fix them in place.

Gaz Amazing work ... sculpturing figures ... a skill on a whole new level. Following with great interest and admiration. Like Robs DoK, you're on a whole new level of modeling. -

Rob Modeling on a completely new and different level, new challenges to conquer and the jewel in the crown: DoK for display. Any thoughts on how and where you are going to display her? -

Martin, Thank You I've now more then doubled my artillery knowledge -
John Fantastic progress - your Toom is looking so good. Most amazing of all, ou have made it this far in the build and haven't broken off the pitot tubes on the vertical stabilizer.😉

Rob Amazing work and learning to be a machinist during construction - modeling tools and skills I never thought about. Seems you've entered a new world of skills and language. -

Kai Right with Mark .. always nice to learn more of procedures and ops, as it ads so much to the build. -

Thanks Kai, I'm pretty sure I finished all the final sanding and am doing the final cleanup and masking - then it's air brush time. -

Gaz WOW. I can't believe how much I just learned about field artillery - way to go! Nice work on re-working the details, as well as the start on the figures. Thoroughly enjoying following your build and thought process as well. -
John Nothing like background history to add inspiration to a build. Nice choice after reading the book. Looking mighty good and the fit seems flawless.

Carl I decided to switch back to 48th scale for my jets a few years back taking into account selection of kits and AM, availability, display case space and of course cost. My 48th scale jet stash has been slowing increasing and while it did take me some time to make the plunge, I'm glad I did. Just between Tamiya and ZM alone, the bar has gone up tremendously. ☺️

John Nice work on refining the fit, sitting just right in place.

Martin Many years ago, my wife Diane and I use to take in the Reading Air Show in Pennsylvania every year and we saw Bob Hoover perform many times - no question, the most amazing and natural born pilot I ever saw.

Gaz My pleasure, I sure have picked up a lot of tips from your builds over the years as well -
Paul Very nicely done and thank you for the bio as well as it adds a lot to the build itself. I in agreements with both Rob and Hubert that light weathering will add a little depth to the model and bring out a lot of the details. Of course, never having built any armor, I'm not the guy to offer any advice on what to do or how to do it.. Looking forward to your next build, the M3 and will be with you all the way.

Gaz Thank you so much for the very kind words, so very much appreciated. I guess it's part of getting older and learning to deal with aging and some medical issues that set new limits on what you can and can't not do. I'm just happy to be back at the bench and enjoying modeling again, as a few years ago, I didn't know if that was ever going to happen. -
John The fit does look mighty good and seems to be one of Aires better fitting offices.
