  1. Carl Can't understand how your post office as they did accept the package already and just hanging onto it makes zero sense. I found the build on ARC and the kit looks as if it will take me a good year to build. http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?/topic/318474-saab-ja37-viggen-jetmads-132/page/2/ I have the Whirlwind, kit looks very good and I'm assuming it will be a easier build then the tempest as the cockpit looks a lot more traditional. 2. Richard Welcome aboard - an amazing story and thank you for sharing Keep 'em comin Peter
  3. Rog I'm with you and hope there are a lot more early Spits on the way. of course, a BOB Hurricane Mk.Ia would be brilliant as well Keep 'em comin Peter
  4. Harv Yes ... getting everything to align perfectly is surely the key in eliminating problems down the road, which at times has always plagued me. Keep 'em comin Peter.
  5. Carl Thanks for the explanation but all those fees just add to the cost, no matter what is purchased outside of Canada. UPS charges are outrages and I can't see how they allowed to continue to charge those handling fees. Just makes us here in the states appreciative of only paying state sales tax and shipping. I rarely purchase outside the states these days as shipping is ridiculous and most vendors will not ship paints to the US. Keep 'em comin Peter
  6. Carl Nice additions for sure. WOW, $30 extra in taxes on top of the original purchase price for the paints. I'm a bit unsure how the taxes work in Canada... I'm assuming you pay shipping and taxes at purchase and then an additional tax when delivered or is it just one tax? In any case glad you have he paint set and now all that's missing, is the Viggen. I'm #10850, so I'm still months away from my kit shipping. Keep 'em comin Peter
  7. Mark Great idea and looking forward to the build down the road. Keep 'em comin Peter
  8. Thanks Craig So very much appreciate your kind words on the build and my photography. Keep 'em comin Peter
  9. Kev I've heard lots of good things about the Revell version and they might even have improved on the instructions, which I'm finding as I get deeper and deeper into the build leave a lot to be desired - nice to look at but are very vague on part placement. For the money, knowing what I know now, I would pass on the SH Hi Tech version and go for the Revell kit myself. Hope you do a build thread on the kit. so we can follow and enjoy. Keep 'em comin Peter
  10. Rob I'm speechless - brilliant build and a stunning finish! Bravo on a build to beautifully done. 🏆🏆🏆 Keep 'em comin Peter
  11. Gus Absolutely stunning work and what a finish, simply gorgeous. No question that you met all your goals; beautiful work Keep 'em comin Peter
  12. Phil Been there more times then I like to admit and leave the P-51 for another day when the juices call. Glad to see you're underway with the Junkers. Keep 'em comin Peter
  13. Brad Terrific build - and the finish - awesome. Nice workaround the tailsitting issue. Keep 'em comin Peter
  14. Excellent progress on your FW190. From my end the decals and weathering look very good and I can't see any silvering. Keep 'em comin Peter
  15. Mark Nice going and looks very interesting Keep 'em comin Peter
  16. Been waiting decades for a BOB Spit Mk1a that hopefully will have Tamiya like detailing and quality. If their decision would have been a much later version, I wouldn't have any of the interest as I do now. Keep 'em comin Peter
  17. Harv Nice progress and the cuts are looking rock solid Keep 'em comin Peter
  18. Rob Now that's masking for sure. I've done so much masking on the F4 I just finished and only a few hours on the Tempest so far and I have to agree, masking is becoming a all encompassing time absorbing portion of every build these days. Looking mighty good Keep 'em comin Peter
  19. We'll need to hear from John and my money is on maybe six or more over the next few years. Keep 'em comin Peter
  20. Nice, g;lad they worked out perfectly Keep 'em comin Peter
  21. I'm not promising myself to buy just one 'cause that isn't going to happen ... it's just a case of how many. I've built three Tamiya Mustangs, two Spits, one Corsair with one in the stash and my prized Mossie. Looks like the Spits are going to take the lead Keep 'em comin Peter
  22. Gus Looking so good - just has to cross the finish line Keep 'em comin Peter
  23. Harv Looking good and take your time ... a bit of progress every day Keep 'em comin Peter
  24. John Way to go and I'll be following all the way I'm sure I'll get the bug to either finish my horrible P-39 or buy a SK kit and build it this winter. Keep 'em comin Peter
