  1. Ernie Thanks for the heads up! I'm dancing on air - a true to goodness BOB Spitfire Mk.1a. I couldn't have asked for more Keep 'em comin Peter
  2. Mark I'm pretty sure they are and on their web site: The range of specially formulated lacquer based paints optimised for airbrushing. I've used them in the past and do add few drops of Self leveling Thinner but I do the same with MRP paints as well. So, I would have to say, they are good to go straight from the bottle. Keep 'em comin Peter
  3. Gus Right with Kai, Hubert and Rob ... just a spectacular build. Keep 'em comin Peter
  4. Rob Looking forward to your next update. Yes, you are correct, some of the new Tamiya car kits have lazer cut masks but none of the aircraft kits yet, as far as I know. Keep 'em comin Peter
  5. Hi Phil Much appreciated and you're right on the money - PE is tiny and finicky but it's on and I doubt much will be seen on the completed model. Keep 'em comin Peter
  6. Thanks Kai It's a kit that seems to draw the builder to the bench and keep him there. Not a perfect kit and not Tamiya in part fit but right up there for sure. Working on the HGW seatbelts, the IP is now done and I should be ready to start closing up the fuselage in a few days. Keep 'em comin Peter
  7. Thanks Rob for the info on the HGW seatbelts and I tried a few your way and it's much easier for sure. Keep 'em comin Peter
  8. Hi Mark Thanks Mark -just going slow and enjoying the ride. So far no real issues. Keep 'em comin Peter
  9. Harv Going to be an epic project and I'm with you aqll the way. Keep 'em comin Peter
  10. Carl Mr Bond would be pleased and looking so good Keep 'em comin Peter
  11. Carl I know and wasn't expecting it until the end of the week. Keep 'em comin Peter
  12. Harv Nice going and steady hands. Keep 'em comin Peter
  13. Another piece of the puzzle arrived today: Just missing the kit itself but I'm in no rush as I have my present build to do and one after that, then the Viggen Keep 'em comin Peter
  14. Thanks Harv Chipping away, day after day as the interior is loaded with parts and now the HGW Seatbelts - first time playing with their seatbelts and it's some job for these old eyes. Of course, my part count is pale in comparison in the conversion set for your Wessex HU5. Keep 'em comin Peter
  15. Rob Looking mighty good - airbrush work is so clean and perfectly done Keep 'em comin Peter
  16. Gaz Nice work and I'm sure frustration with the scale strip and now you're going to take it apart, narrow up the strip and rebuild it. Just seems everything connected with the build has a 'rainy cloud' over it's head. But no matter what, you're getting closer and closer to the finish line. Keep 'em comin Peter
  17. Rob Spectacular work and your progress is amazing. Completely agree about the masks and why on especially expensive kits, Tamiya doesn't die cut the masks - it's nervous work cutting them out. Keep 'em comin Peter
  18. Mark I'm just blown away with each update and how you handle the details - remarkable workmanship. Keep 'em comin Peter
  19. Thanks Kev Much appreciated an it does take a while to move from scale to scale. Keep 'em comin Peter
  20. Thanks Rob Sometimes I enjoy going back to the old skills and simpler way we did things, which seem to work just as well. Completely agree about the instructions - terrific on the overall effect and placement but falls a bit short on the exact locations at times. Keep 'em comin Peter
  21. Kai Awesome Viper - perfect build. I built the same Viper a number of years ago on LSP and an amazing kit. I couldn't find any pics, so I did a search for it on LSP for an image to post. Not in the same league as yours and sorry for the image quality. Keep 'em comin Peter
  22. John 🏆 Your Hurricane re-do looks fantastic and the cammo work is perfect. If the patches bother you, I would just remove them. Great idea and what a way to go back and re-do a finish or even the kit itself (I've done that once on the old forum with one of my 1/32 Tamiya P-51D's.) Keep 'em comin Peter
  23. John Heading over now. Just love to see builds this way - a new lease on life build. Well done Keep 'em comin Peter
  24. Gaz Been watching the US Open Tennis Tournament the past week and today is the men finals. Assume tournament. Keep 'em comin Peter
