Dragon Panther A with Zimmerit
Bomber_County replied to GazzaS's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
This one slipped through……..good start on the Panther, it’s one i haven’t modelled yet. When I did my Tiger I with zim, albeit brass Eduard, I used white glue to fix it on. Longer cure time, easily positioned and water clean up…..looking forward to this it’s on the list….. -

Stunning canopies Rob, we cannot buy the Tamiya polishing compounds in the UK for some unknown reason. I’ve tried every where. If anyone knows this side of the pond……please…… I need them to polish the ZM P51 canopy as there is a tiny seam down the middle of it, been using that as excuse not to get back it…- 177 replies

You have started a trend with me Gaz, I was inspired by your Luftwaffe builds to get the Ju 88 then I bought the HE111-H6 and now after seeing your 110, I’m looking at ICM but they haven’t issued one yet, any suggestions….. -
Last night I opened a 12 month bottle of Sloe Gin. Fruit was picked locally and then steeped in Tanqueray Export Strength Dry Gin in a dark space. A couple of shot glasses of that and all was well with the world. So good……

We can hope, love to all the early British bombers in this scale, just if they are going to a Beaufort perhaps they will do a new Beaufighter…….please….

Peter, the Shuttleworth Collection have a SOE version and have feeling Planes of Fame (think that’s right) have one restoration . Picture care of Shuttleworth Collection…….

Thanks Ernie much appreciated, I am really impressed with ICM. Also 1/48 is a good scale for twins I reckon. Manufacturers have really updated their game on the detail they are now putting into the kits. ICM are about to release. 1/48 Beaufort which I reckon will be very nice indeed. I hoping they will do a Wellie, Hampden etc there is a real whole in the market there.

I guess you could say almost a flush……..

Thanks John much appreciated.

Ernie, that sucks, apparently this “long” covid is a pain as is just debilitates you for awhile. Try and get some bench time at least…

Same as you guys, wonder how many “investors” ever make money? There used to be a guy here and where were before, built a purpose built shed to store them in. Ironically it was far to small in the end. Never built anything to my knowledge…..each to their own…… -
Definitely agree Kent, the Lizzie was a SOE workhorse and did the job magnificently…..
-
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder……or something like that…….
-
Thanks Kent much appreciated, which Ju 88 have you in the stash?……definitely jump on to it……
-
Thanks Peter, I dry fitted the canopies last night after shooting some Matt varnish. They are friction fit and stay in place, may just leave them like that instead of applying glue………

never say never Gaz……that’s like England winning a test match down under…….
