  1. Harv would know, I recollect he was Jammer operator in country. There is a photograph of him if I remember……
  2. Absolutely stunning Gus, I tried to touch up the Mosquito after stencils etc with a brush……hmmmmmm, I reverted back to temporary masking and blowing a coat for the touch up…….
  3. That’s great news Scott, she will now be back on your case as far as deliveries. But seriously wonderful news…….
  4. Well recommend the Dspiae bits, this is my setup. The bit holders fit all their 3.175 shanked tools. The chuck assembly is magnetic plus a collet. The assembly is plastic but I prefer the small size for one hand operation. The bits themselves having amazing chip removal qualities and can also be purchased separately.
  5. Good catch. Please post a WIP, I’m intrigued on how these go together. My only whitemetal modelling was with 4mm railway kits. I never soldered but with the right solder, flux and iron it is very successful…….looking forward to the build…….
  6. Thank you so much, much appreciated , I’m nowhere near your standard of modelling, hopefully one day………
  7. Interesting views, I have only ever done one jet so still a virgin……the jury still out, the F18 comes with Canadian markings………the F4J was a ZM so doing a Kinetic is I think be a learning curve…..
  8. Jeff, absolutely stunning, your weathering is perfect. Congratulations on stunning build………
  9. Thanks Rob, I do like ZM’s approach and the tooling and engineering is very good. I thought you might want to see the figures, remember they are my first attempt………pics to come…..
  10. Thanks Chris, I’ll get some more pics soon. When I bought this off eBay it did come with a bit of AM, might an idea to think about adding a little bit…..
  11. Thanks Peter much appreciated. The build was enjoyable it was the painting that did me. The only criticism would be the engine mounts to the fire wall and the alignment of the engine. My centreline is very very slightly off. I hope my photos are good enough…..
  12. Decisions decisions……….embarking on new project but…..which one…….
  13. Thanks Dennis, I also have the RAF ZM in the stash, let me know if there anything specific you need to know……
  14. Stunning, one day when I’m older I might get close but I doubt it………
  15. So again as with the Mossie, I’m calling this pony finished. It came with some ZM figures so I’m going to have a go at adding them to the final vignette. Here is a taster before again I attempt to photograph it, I’m still working on the figures so maybe another week before I can get the finished pictures……..As my second ZM it was enjoyable and an education with their philosophy of making the kit as close to the real plane. Would still recommend highly…….
  16. Seems all my builds are coming to an end. This is now ready for the spray booth. Halftracks are notoriously difficult to spray as a completed unit. So next weekend (back to the workstation) booth and fun to be had………the kit came with the 20mm trailer so I am scratch building that into an ammunition trailer………..the metallic finish on the flak unit is so I can blow German grey over it and weather back to metal, I hope…….
  17. Thanks Peter, I’m so glad I didn’t jump into it when I bought it back in 2017 as I didn’t have enough experience to do it justice. Saying that, if you are methodical it’s a breeze to build, so perhaps I wouldn’t have screwed it up. I did build another in a minute but I’ll wait a little. Hope everything goes well tomorrow 🤞
  18. Thanks Carl, it’s there are a couple items I’m not quite happy about but they are minor, overall wonderful kit to build……
  19. Ok I’m calling this done, a truly enjoyable experience and for the doom sayers it’s not a mojo killer……..a sne,so preview as I’m assembling the pictures for the completed section. With my lack of picture skills maybe a while ……..
