  1. 1to1 as crazy as it sounds, I use a syringe without the needle attached. As you prob know Tamiya sprays best @ 50/50...well at least for me anyway! So the syringe it typically 3-4 ML in measured increments, the first dip is always in thinner...draw out the amount you need and then onto the next color and so on. Using the ticks on the side of the syringe it's pretty easy from there to know how much of each color to drop in. (If your desired color was 1 part color + 1 part color then using this method would be 3ml of Thinner + 1.5ml of 1st color + 1.5ml of second color) Last stop is a container with thinner in in to clean it out. BTW this really works best with ISO or Tamiya thinner, other solvents affect the slide and rubber plunger.
  2. Here is a further head scratcher on the paint in the pic. Who made the hobby shop run to get these paints and where is that in the Saudi desert? Or did the fellow have it on hand from a modeler in the unit?

Don't forget Nicole Kidman and Kylie Minouge. (spelling?)
  4. Good method Carl.
  5. Good to know 1to1 thanks.
  6. Stick with me here, but next time I'm going to try EZ line. I know its'not round in section, but it sure drapes nicely. With some paint it might look no worse than an eduard PE set.
  7. Hubert speaks the truth.
  8. And he is brush painting them, how is this magical feat achieved?
  9. Hehe thanks, the drape on the right is a stretch!
  10. Finished up the Pup IP panel and glued it in the cockpit.
  11. I love the first sentence in this caption.
  12. I want to jamb a q-tip into to dial face, but I'm afraid it will tear!
  13. How funny, I had the same shot, well sorta. Hurri MII by The 3rd Placer, on Flickr
  14. I found it helpful to glue small tabs onto the pit frame to aid in locating it and gluing. I also glued a small shelf up front to aid in assembly.
  15. Thanks Mr Wumm. When I got up this morning I discovered a couple of the decals did not fully conform to the dial face, instead almost stretching over them. Is it possible now to apply Micro Sol to get them to snuggle down? Well actually it will be 24 hours by the time I get back to it.
  16. Took a break from the Hellcat and set some Pup instruments. Still drying.
  17. Oh good, seems you have it sorted out.
  18. Come on over to Flckr, your free till 1,000 pics.
  19. It's really tough to keep up with you guys. ROG, that 262 deal is outstanding.
  20. Yes, if you have the time I’d like to see more shots of that model. The ZM H1 is a good snag since it’s OOP.
  21. Good job Bill, was that for the sea plane?
  22. More work continued today, took a break from painting and started assembling some of the pit.
  23. Completed a task I have been dreading today. The detail in the pit is a bit soft and shallow as far as corner definition on the consoles, the only option would be to mask them off and spray. I had to assemble the unit to eliminate some joints and assembled it makes the job harder. I decided to do a few boxes at a time. In the end, there was just a little touch up needed. The rest will be brush painted.
