  1. Started sticking some parts together, pics soon.
  2. Larry it’s not easy to place in the Nats let alone 1st. Well done and congratulations. Ryan
  3. Gaz, I think you mean the TA-152 not this one.
  4. It so far has not levitated or built an assembly...so I think it’s the non magical version.
  5. In a squirrel moment I have decided to build a Hellcat I picked up at the Nats. No pics just yet, but I have Barracuda wheels and Techmod decals on the way....I'd like t limit this for aftermarket goodies. Really want one in the case. More soon. Ryan
  6. Ernie sprinkle some Nats enthusiasm dust on this thing and get some more pics up.
  7. Hey Gus, I used Vajello Model Air Aluminum and went to town with a rounded brush. I can't say for certain, but I think the MA paint has a an additive to make it spray better, This additive helps it not clump up like a typical water based dry brush would normally do. I was one step away from using MM Aluminum to preform the dry brush, but then that would have effected the oil based washes I am using. Thanks for looking in.
  8. And I felt bad for chucking these in my lathe to shake them! Good idea!
  9. Thanks Rob, here are some more pics. The pit parts are pretty much done and await paint. Ta-152 by The 3rd Placer, on Flickr ZM Ta-152 Cockpit by The 3rd Placer, on Flickr ZM Ta-152 Cockpit by The 3rd Placer, on Flickr Ryan
  10. On to painting, at first I shot some of the new Vajello duraluminum paint, way too shiny. I striped this and went with a black base and then dry brushed a cast aluminum look. 11. I'll start with the engine, here is the series of pics that follow the engine construction and initial painting. Note at one point I had scratched some wiring but ended up crushing the part on the floor, so I discarded it...I'll show the wiring work here for reference.
