I have been always tempted to push Trumpeter's kit a little further and HpH set would be a good starting point.

Let us not get too excited, there is going to be zinc chromate and brushed steel in place when the time comes, but first I have to fix the damaged panel lines and re-punch all the pesky rivets. Harvey take it as a way of priming.

I can make masters for the rest if somebody can cast it.

Preliminary coat of light grey, sea grey and deck blue stain, just that ugly clear plastic and get some idea about depth before riveting.

I know, not the cleanest job, but better then nothing. There is this one thing about Dauntless, the rivets. There are not all rounded, not all the same size. It is very apparent on this picture of the tail section. I was originally considering re-punching them with beading tool, but looking at this , I have to reconsider my approach.

Flap actuators are fairly visible, so I slapped them in real quick
