Nice work, Bill! At this point, the AS engine is a lot nicer to look at.

Glad to see the love resuming on this build. Bomb racks look nice and non-chunky.

Today, I went well out of my comfort zone - 1/16 “Ivar the Boneless” RFI

Splendid! Love the subtle shading on the face... the most important part. -
I would offer to help, but I don't even know if I'll finish the eight I have. The only WWI planes I want weren't released by WNW or anyone in large scale.

Thank you! Though I'm trying for realism, I don't know how she'll fare for visual interest.

Wow! That's amazing! Bravo! -
Ugh! Did Fairey make anything that wasn't ugly as hell? Here it looks like a Spitfire mated with a schoolbus: ... And that's the best looking one! I'll be passing on the Gannet.

Up on her feet with the escape hatch installed. Still a fair way to go... gotta dirty up the underside. I did some very small chipping, and I'm trying to illustrate skin oils on the access hatches for fuel and oil cells. Will have to see how it looks under a matte coat. Thanks fer lookin'

I'm contemplating on how I might combine my reading or old prescription g;lasses with my optivisor.

I bought the entire series (printed thus far) after seeing just one of them at my club's meeting. So full of information and so many photos I've never seen before. Each one covers a period and mentions each raid (near as I can tell), claims, losses, and eyewitness accounts. I just finished 1940-early 41. If the Nachtjagd interests you, these are a must.

I vote for the darker one, too! Curious: How big is your island? Is it the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else?

Thank you, Phil! Even with my best glasses on... it gets more difficult to see small details,

For half a second there, I was thinking John was gonna break out an orange Corsair with Japanese meatballs, with a black cowling and anti glare panel forward of the cockpit. John?

Figure painting... Shitty photos... I apologize. The pointing man is tank crew, and the standing guys are infantry. Being SS is complicating uniform details. Still lots of painting to go. Thanks for looking!

Tamiya Mosquito finished
GazzaS replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Great job, John! A real stunner. Glad to see it completed, too. I've heard this one mentioned as a mojo killer before. -
Great news! Now, you might use if for a new 1/32 scale Bf 109G.

What is on your bench right now ? Share a picture :)

I didn't know that about that particular pilot, Tony. Thanks for sharing! Thank goodness for whatever got the Germans started with color schemes. It certainly adds a lot to WWI modelling. -
