  1. Hi Guys... Been working on this one for a while for a group build at Armorama: ...You start with a nice solid frame: And four differentials... Everything goes together sweetly. All axles are flexible... The engine ends here... Once the wheels are on, it's hard to do anything below and under the fenders... so I decided to paint here. I would come to wish I hadn't followed the kit's instructions to add the tools and storage to the fenders until later. Weathered the wheels and suspension with pigments. This thing's got too many bits to knock off! Dang-it! Forgot to make headset for the commander! Wouldja believe I still have to add eight valve stems and valve stem protectors. Thanks fer looking!
  2. Looks awesome, Martin! I really ;like the patina you've given it.
  3. Interesting... Coffee always smells better than it tastes to most ppl I know. But to each his own. I'm not a big chili lover. I like a bit of Zing in my chili con carne... but if it get's uncomfortable to eat, then it's no good. I got cousins and uncles who pride themselves on being able to eat things that would strip the lining of a stomach... But they must have a different gene...lol

NOt really a Madonna fan myself though she is a Detroit girl... I was a Detroit boy... Unfortunately we have Muzak at work. Whenever La Isla Bonita comes over, I find myself altering it to La Isla Pendejo's... I did actually look up the fish... but the connection was too close to ignore.
  5. Oh... And how do you get rid of the salt with all of those features? I've only been bold enough to use salt on the wings of an aircraft thus far.
  6. I just "discovered" those Citadel washes a few months ago. Got to say I like em'! Looks great, Martin!
  7. Thanks! My wife just taught me how to use her camera on Auto. I'm really just a Luddite.

Did you catch any surprises? Things you weren't wanting to catch, but bit anyway? A common occurrence here is a shark taking interest in your catch and taking it from you.
  10. Horseradish irritates the nose whilst chili's irritate the mouth. So different kinds of burn. Your sniffer working alright? Or maybe you've had some weak/old wasabi. Horseradish's effect weakens over time in storage, no matter how it is prepared. I have bought some jars and been entirely disappointed. If you let a good batch get to the back of your tongue, right under those holes in the roof of your mouth... that should wake you up.
  11. I am addicted to the real thing: I never developed a strong love for alcohol. One night Jack Daniels and BBQ ribs... Saw the ribs twice and Jack kicked me in the head the next morning. I don't talk to Jack no more. The Duty NCO made me mop up my own vomit! Drank some Glenfiddich and Coke (probably heresy) and played my first 18 holes of golf on my Daughter's wedding day. Let's just say that on the wedding night, Mrs. Gazza wasn't very happy with me. BTW... on the 18th hole it took 27 swings to knock the ball off the tee. I like beer with food... most beers will suffice. The best beer is of course free beer. I drank 11 cans of ice cold Budweiser after ops at the Pohakuloa Training Area in Hawaii. Then I stole...err, I mean liberated my Section Chief's Towel, Cammies, and skivvies while he was in the shower, forcing him to walk back to the Quonset Hut wearing nothing but his spectacles and and shower shoes...USMC parlance for thongs. The shower is the green building upper left of the picture. Despite punishment push-ups, I still held my beer. And once I played quarters at a married guy's house. I was told I'd never be invited again. Still don't know what I did... Sorry for the continuing the thread creep.... Gaz
  12. Take care, Buddy! We'll still be here! Gaz
  13. Frank, It looks great despite the white/black issue. When confounded by bubbles, I lightly stab them with the very tip of my X-acto blade, then give them a bit of decal softener. Helps most of the time. When there are compound decals (multiple figures joined by clear film, I cut away as much clear film as possible even if this will make more decals. PITA... but few things are as frustrating as silvering. Just don't dip the decals in the Jameson. GAz
  14. My wife has graciously allowed me to use her Olympus E-620. I'm experimenting here with low/dappled light and shade.
  15. On my last day of fishing in Alaska not only was I treated to the sites and sound of a rushing river, but also a family of bald eagles teaching their young to fish. And as the fish were being cleaned, the orange eggs were tossed into the water where we could watch other fish (not salmon) come and snatch them right by our waders. ...if there's any place to go where you can feel close to mother nature... it's there.
  16. Horseradish is difficult to come by in this part of Australia. So Wasabi is the only way to enjoy it's great flavor and bite.
  17. mmmmmmm..... raw fish and wasabi!
  18. Looking Good Tony!
  19. Your Fokker looks great! I'm glad you're able to get back to it. I've heard quite a few stories about the Fokker's panels. I have a Fokker from WNW... but haven't touched it yet. I only did my first lozenge job recently. I found it daunting before I actually dove in. Gaz
  20. Nice Pics, Frank! Alaska is such a fantastic place. I would love to vacation there every year.
