  1. Absolutely fantastic,, Ern! You'll knock em dead! GAz
  2. Thanks for the info, Martin. For the purpose of the narrative, I'll have a braided (painted) wire with two tiny bits of copper showing. AS I already have the jack, jack block, and track 'C-thingy' glued to the ass end, I'll have to go with the battle-and-driver-damaged story. Gaz
  3. Wonderful job, Tony! She's a beaut!! What's next? Gaz
  4. Hi Friends, More work on the Sturmtiger. Mostly weathering the drive components and adding external damage to the vehicle. Previous attempts at battle damage to soft parts haven't really come off as hoped. I wanted to use a hair dryer, but it didn't seem up to the task. So, I tried a heat gun... and even at the lowest setting, it was just too powerful or I was too inept. I used a soldering iron for damage to the armor plate. That worked pretty well. I want it too look like it's had a hard fight, but isn't abandoned. But I have always wondered if most of the pics taken of them after they were abandoned or knocked out happened after the local civilians have stripped them of anything they could carry away. The lost tail light and fender detail I got from looking at pics of the Saumar Tiger I. I'll have to install two bits of wire coming out for the light. Anyone know what colors the Germans used for positive and negative wires? Cheers! Gaz
  5. How is that even possible? I can see the Falcon Ute not being there... a bit like the El Camino. I'd love an Amarok... but they want a ton of money for them. But you can buy a vehicle in the US and register it there in Canadistan? oh... eh?
  6. But of course! HIlux that run on petrol... or gasoline... are guzzlers. Even my beat up old diesel gets 10 KM per litre.
  7. I'm thinking about replacing my beat up old Hilux with a new one: simple guy... simple tastes... Photo for discussion only.
  8. Did they really have pitot tubes that early?
  9. The wings look great, Ernie. Gee... I love those submarine windows...
  10. Very nicely done!
  11. Heh... seems you caught us all, John. Nice work!
  12. Nice! May you bring home the gold!
  13. I hope you've made a video for Youtube explaining, in-detail, your process Gaz
  14. I hope they kept the mad riveter away.
  15. I love your process. For me it's Blue 'S', Blue Circle, RLM 04 for all of the yellow, and the blue spinner disc. All of the white cowl versions just scream "Wrong!" to me. Gaz
  16. Looks awesome, Carl! What are the blades made of? I'm surprised by the rigidity. Gaz
  17. Looking real sharp. Ernie! Do you have a process when removing your masks/tape to keep the paint from tearing or getting a jagged edge look? Criminy! You know it's a big model when only 1 wing crosses the bench top and hangs over the edge. Keep it up! Gaz
  18. That is a GREAT! jumping picture, Frank! Thank you for sharing it with us. I know that a lot of time, military life can range from boring to the occasional, panicked clusterf*ck. But there are always so many great moments that those who never served can even imagine. One thing I really miss is the easy camaraderie. Love your workspace! One thing I lack is having a computer at easy reach. I should do something about that. The other day I bought a black BBQ apron. It earned it's cost in the first two hours, catching six small pieces of Tamiya dark yellow plastic. Gray shows up well, too. Looking forward to some update pics, soon! Gaz
  19. So sorry to hear that, man. I really hate how businesses treat people.
