Italeri F-35A splinter scheme

Looks good Scott. I still don't get why everyone does them as raised panels. They're worse than the BDR patches on Tamiya F-4 kits that everyone complains about. -

Great looking gunsight. The UV glue is great for so many different applications. -

Martin, you're not wasting any time there. At least they're not Modelkasten track links. Those are 9 pieces per link and all need to cut from sprues. -

That looks great. Really like the paint job and the exhaust staining. Did you have to add much nose weight to get it to sit properly? -
Went on a fall colours road trip today as part of a Honda owners group. Ours is 8th in line from the left.

They've just announced the M29C with the boat shaped floats. That's one I'm considering as there's pics of an M29C being carried inside a Amtrac which would make a cool display.

Like Ron said, at the moment there isn't an easy way to get a WWII Sherman. I'd wait a bit if you want to do a VVVS Sherman as I'm sure Andy's will come out with one. He's got almost all the parts now.

Thanks Martin. The dragon was originally bought for my son Edward but the assembly is challenging. The parts tolerances are extremely tight and some parts interlock with others but really require a lot of force and finagling to get together. So I swapped him a different dragon kit and I'm putting this one together. -

Fantastic work Martin. These big scale tanks really give you so many opportunities to improve/enhance/add detail to them.

I was working on seatbelts for the Sea Fury. Turns out that HGW makes a set for the Vampire that match what Fisher gives you in PE. So I bought those. Unfortunately they were a big disappointment. Some of the belts were too wide to fit through the buckles. I had to narrow them before they would thread through. Then they started to come apart where they were embossed with the stitching. The embossing was too deep and went right through the belts so they were perforated rather than embossed. So back to the kit belts. I annealed them first and then bent them to shape. Hopefully they have a decent drape to them. I then started putting the cockpit together. Just need to add the side panels.

Peter, That's definitely true that I was lucky to find both parts.

Hasegeewow F8E USMC 1966 Crusader - RFI
BlrwestSiR replied to PanzerWomble's topic in LSM 1/48 Work in Progress
I think it's a marketing thing with the tall Microset bottles. Make them easy to tip over so you have to buy more. The Crusader is looking nice. One of the iconic paint schemes for that plane. -
Libor for LZ Models had a pre-order special for 25€ plus 10€ for shipping from Ireland to Canada. It's a bit more now. https://www.lzmodels.com/Shop.html

Me too! Just need to get a Tomcat and Spitfire out of the way.

Cool! I thought that was for finished builds only. Otherwise if you can move this over there that would be awesome.

The IP dials are printed on paper so I cut a piece of acetate for glass. Then I glued them to the PE face and attached them to the IP. To make things easier later on, I painted around the cockpit opening with Dark Sea Grey.

That's a bit annoying with the way they placed it. -
I have a couple of their kits. The Scammell tank transporters are very nicely done. If you're careful, they can built with working suspension.

Well, a slight pause to work on other stuff. @ScottsGT, it's definitely in a different league from the Hobbycraft kit. One reason I sort of stopped was I lost the compass mount. It went off into the ether and my lap monster unfortunately wasn't around to catch it. A couple days ago while searching for a different part, I found both on the floor. So I thought best to get it glued in place before I lose it again. I glued the pedal assembly in at the same time. Next up, I started on all the little levers. So things are moving forward again.
