You should get the Tamiya B kit. They have options for parked, short take off and vertical flight poses. Landing gear oleos are suitably compressed/extended, jet nozzle rotated partway/fully and control surfaces to match all three options. Which explains the 58 page instruction book.

The washes and weathering you've been doing really add so much depth to the model.

Major assembly on the Mako One is done now. I have some scribing and filling to do and then I can start on paint.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the Grant/Lee tanks but then certainly did the job when first pressed into service. I've only done the Miniart Grant and it's not quite done yet. No interior to it so probably a lot easier than the Academy one you're building.

Looks great. I'm still trying to decide if I want to do my Tamiya one all clean like yours or beast mode with a full underwing load of stores.

The shark mouth really suits the P-39 nose shape. Nicely done but that's to be expected from one of your builds.

Good thing you caught it. At least it looks like the gear door fits reasonably well in the closed position.

That's incredible progress already. Amazing work and a truly amazing pace.

The Germans captured a few after the Dieppe landings and their first impressions were that they must have been leftover WWI tanks given to the Canadians to use.

Man, that looks really. Can't wait to see the finished pics. I remember buying the old AMT one in 1/48 but never built it. Somehow I lost the kit. Never figured out what happened to it.

Sadly, with shipping to Canada it's more than I paid for the Fisher Cutlass. Hopefully someone up here will have it for sale at some point.

It's been tent caterpillars here for a couple springs. They just hang out of the trees and before you know it, one looks like Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Nice progress. I haven't built the Tamiya Churchill but did the AFV Club one a few years ago. That one had working suspension if you were careful with the glue.

That's a big spider. I don't think they get that big here in Ontario so thankfully no need for carpet bombing.

I was hoping this was in but not yet. So I bought the other stuff.

The LHS got in a collection in the spring. There were several Fisher kits in it and they have been slowly putting them up for sale. So far the prices have been great on them. The Cutlass was actually less than the original price.

That whitewash camo has got the right chalky/washed out look to it.

I went to the LHS to pick up some cement and ended up with a couple extra items in the bag. They weren't expecting the F-35 to arrive until next month but I got here early. I'm thinking I might do this as a PR1 Spitfire using the AIMS conversion set. In the pre-owned section, I grabbed a couple kits. I was hoping this had the PR parts but alas it did not. My plan to reduce the stash has utterly failed.

And the lower wing is on. I'll get the uppers on tomorrow.

Looks like I'll be there. Going to bring our two sons if all goes well.
