Same here sort of. I bought his F-4B decals as well but haven't bought an F-4B much less a base kit to start with. Maybe one day I'll get that bit. Meantime, the A-20 decals looks great.

Thanks Rob! It's 73" wide so about the same as our car. The top bar is slightly offset to one side to facilitate loading. I'll get a pic later today with the bikes on.

This will be fun to watch. Those Resin2Detail engines look fantastic. It's unfortunate that shipping from them to Canada is so absurdly expensive. Not that it's their fault.

Well, it's just over 2 months with the new car and we've managed to rack up 6,000 kms already. Which is a bit over half our annual average! So I guess we like it. The hitch finally arrived today. I had it installed in about 30 min. I think it took longer to get the tools out than it did putting it on. The jack stands held it in place while I bolted it on. With that done, I put the new bike rack together and put it on the RAV. That took longer as I had to go out and get a 24mm socket. Tomorrow I get to find out how well it works when we go biking.

Big difference in the canopies that's for sure. Nice job getting it to work.

Our house is about 1100 sqft built in 1894. We're in the middle of a 4 unit rowhouse. Being in Toronto, Canada we get the best of both worlds. 30-40°C in summer and -25°C in winter. Electricity averages $120 CAD a month which includes running the AC and gas is about the same. We did an energy audit earlier this year so we're hoping to get some insulation put in as there's currently none. Guess it didn't exist when the house was built. We've also got some windows on the at so that'll help.

Just a poll on model preferences because I’m curious.

I'm definitely mixed up. I like to build subjects from many categories. Keeps things interesting for me and I like the variety. -

Surprisingly no. Not sure what I did wrong. -
Good question there Scott. I know they're getting hard to find these days but the decals are missing (not that I'd use them) so maybe that's one reason it was so cheap?

As usual, Fur wanted pets as soon as she saw me at the bench. Which is a bit of a challenge when you're airbrushing. Sigh... At least she didn't contribute to the paint job. -
Renault RE20 Turbo - Tamiya - 1/12
BlrwestSiR replied to DocRob's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Rob, to be honest I'm not really sure. Two of the tires have actually degraded and I missed out on the replacements made by MFH. Both times. I do work on it from time to time but I should just get it done. -
Renault RE20 Turbo - Tamiya - 1/12
BlrwestSiR replied to DocRob's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Just catching up on your Renault Rob and it's fantastic. Great job on the wiring and plumbing. Tamiya has stuck with their vinyl tubing for decades and should look at other materials and a better way to attach them. The chrome paint came out fantastic too and was worth the effort of stripping the original finish and re-doing it. Overall a very inspirational build. Makes me want to work on my MP-4/6 that I started in 1993. -
I took the boys to the LHS. They bought some tiny (1/100?) scale tanks. Made my eyes hurt looking at them. I picked up some paint for the Andromeda and a couple kits that I had paid for earlier. I'm not the biggest Mustang fan (heresy I know) but for $16 I couldn't resist. Supposedly shape wise, it's ok if a bit basic. Not quite the same category as @ScottsGT's Sea Fury. Another Spitfire as I don't have an VIII in the stash. The VIII is a great base kit for other versions. Of the 3 I've built so far, only one is an VIII. The other two were converted into a VII and a XIV. This will probably end up as an FR XIV. Sticking with Spitfires, last of the line evolution -wise: Another good deal at $49.

3rd time is the charm, I guess? Heller models related

You're pretty close Hubert. The car you're thinking of is the Chevy Chevette. -

Lots of work there Scott. Great problem solving on making the gear fit.
