+1 ..a Twin Otter in anything bigger than 1/72 would be great. Lovely aircraft, used everywhere , still being occasionally made by Viking I think .

AK Interactive Real Colors (Acrylic paints)

Should have spent more of the marketing budget on the quality department .... Not AK .......but another Spanish company ...when people try to sell you this sort of nonsense, you know their marketing dept have been on the columbian marching powder too much. -

Another interesting pic but not from the 247 Sdn , this is 213 Sdn The black undersides seem to be sloppily/hastily put on , and in the front aircraft slopped up the wing edge ( and how knackered is that one ?) , and in the others it follows a line up the tails . Is it black over earth or still dark green ? A-LK is Ian Gleed I believe , himself an interesting character , made famous by Airfix's 1/24 Hurricane Mk1 Ian Gleed wikipedia -

A bunch of pictures from my 247 Sdn book , from when they were defending Exeter and Plymouth during and after the blitz. I'm no Hurricane expert , I've just an attachment to this unit that operated from my home town ( the Glad I built is 247) . This book is heartily recommended as it contain a lot of tall tales and observations from the pilot and staff , you get a real sense of these young characters. They flew Hurricanes Feb 41 to end 1942 before swapping out for Typhoons . This one interesting , has the anti glare sheilds but still in normal paint scheme ? -
Thats looking pretty damn fine π

Yes thats a lovely and unexpected colour ., she'll be a stunner -
The two guys carrying the mail(?) to the Kingfisher had me . π as well as the guys lounging in the sun . 100% believe details should tell a story if you can , the interaction of the objects and the people is art , otherwise it's a thing with less context.

It's a good one isn't it . I have another but it might upset the more religious so decided against posting it .

Must admit I had a Nissan Terrano for a few years , it was as tough as old boots , the 2.7 Turbo Diesel engine was a firm favourite in Black cabs for a while . It was ok for gentle off-roading as well with a separate lower box, and took us to the Ardennes and back in 40 degree summer , not back for an 18 year old truck .

Despite being made in the UK the 1st Gen wasn't wildly liked , unlike the Squashy which sold over a million and is still going strong . Bit too rad with the styling , not an exciting drive and the name/image didn't help according to pundits. They're sold quite cheap here as there is a lot of other competition in that price arena , but I'm not sure we got any high HP versions

Not knowing F-A11 about the F-111 *...... is the escape pod something they planned to do in the prototypes stages but dropped later because of cost ? Or did it make it to the main production. UK was supposed to buy these but went F4 instead after all the delays and the USN cancelling their......s imagine if we'd held on a bit longer and bought the new F-14 s....joyous even if we didn't have a carrier big enough . Talking of endless delays.....it's almost like the F-35 Wunderwaffe .....if history repeats we will all be getting sold Lockheed day fighters dressed up as multirole aircraft instead by 2025 . *see what I did there ?

Yup , drilling out two holes in 220 links for starters ...then ruining the tips of your finger threading it all together ...fighting the brass wire .. but when they are done and burnished its still 120% better than gluing track horns onto individual links . The mass and droop is nice too . -

Trackbashing ...as much fun in 1/35 as it is in 1/1 ....5+ hours so far -
I do recall paging my way through his 10,000 posts ...not a single build thread , RFI or even picture of anything he had built . Complete waste of space being on any modelling forum ...could have happily trolled the Western Arkansas New Knitting forum for as much skin he had in the game .

Being a huge fan of Pantherererzzz ...a nice CZ book with lots of pix not available elsewhere . My other obsession is the EE Lightning ....I already have all the books written about them ...π
