Kaireckstadt
Here is the roll-out of my Mirage III CJ of the Israeli Airforce which will be part of the Mirage SIG in Telford this year. I won’t tell any more details of the build here. This can be read in the work in progress category: So here are the roll-out pictures: And finally 2 fotos of real IDF Planes: One showing how less weathered they were - even on the undersides and being in combat - and the other one from the aircraft I built: That’s it and now up to the next: Happy modeling! 3

GazzaS
She is a beauty, Kai! No need for any more weathering as you have captured everything perfectly. I'm really glad you persevered with this kit and made it into a stunning example of the Mirage. You should be very proud of your accomplishment. Now... tell me about the Tornado.... I've been thinking about a Luftwaffe Tornado recently, myself.

DocRob
Wow Kai, she's a beauty. What a relief it must be to have such a great result on display in the end. I love these 'pure' jets of her era, only wings, an engine and not much more. The paintjob looks great and vibrant an eye catcher for sure, congratulations. Ah, have I mentioned the display, simple and effective and supplements the pure beauty of the beast. Cheers Rob

Love the display base and presentation. Awesome work - so beautifully done And now a Tornado build - I'll be with you for the entire journey.the Keep 'em comin Peter

The Tornado will be one of the 2 jubilee planes of 617 Sqn. on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dambuster raid in 1943: It will receive a set of electronics like my Dambuster Lancaster and I plan to exhibit both of them in Telford 2022: I will add more information about the goodies I have when I start the build. 10 hours ago, DocRob said: Wow Kai, she's a beauty. Cheers Rob Thank you for your great feedback Rob! I also love the jets of this era like you. All iconic: F-104, F-4, F-100, Mirage, Lightning, Hunter, MiG21. Just to name some of them. The baseplate should add some life to the plane so that the viewer gets an impression of the size 12 hours ago, mark31 said: nice modeling you have done on the mirage. I improved the base-plate and replaced the info-plate by a better one: I will start the Tornado as soon as I‘ve finished the diorama. Nice to hear that you will follow the build!
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted September 13, 2021 Administrators Share Posted September 13, 2021 Another FLAWLESS build. Now I need another bloody kit, an Italari Mirage.
Kaireckstadt
Thank you for your feedback Ernie. Really think twice to buy one. It’s not one of the best kits I had on my bench. Not well engineered and bad casting quality. All described in my WIP posts.
