BlrwestSiR Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Very nice John. Made me look in the stash at what Tamiya Spitfires I had left. I knew I had a pair of the XVIs but was surprised to find a IX too. Carl 3

Bomber_County Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 The Spit is coming along in the usual neat and clean way, I’ve heard that Covid does take awhile to get over, stay well John…… 3
JohnB Posted November 1, 2021 Author Posted November 1, 2021 Thanks Phil. Trying to stay the course. Made more progress on the Spit. Engine is next (closed cowling). 5 1
Peterpools Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 John Looking mighty good - your progress is phenomenal! Of the two Tamiya Spits I've done, one is with the Merlin hanging out in the wind and the other Spit, closed cowling. Even though it's nice to look at the Merlins, she Spit looks better with the engine cowling closed up. Keep 'em comin Peter 4

One of my earlier builds, a MK IX, has the engine exposed with added plumbing, etc. Just not my cup of tea as I prefer the closed cowling look. 3 1
GazzaS Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 I'm with you John... closed cowl shows the lines better. Nice progress. 4
