Peterpools Posted April 13, 2024 Author Posted April 13, 2024 Thanks Carl, Monday is the orthopedic surgeon and hoping for the best. Just glad you are following both your doctors and cardiologist advice and treatment and taking good care. 4
Peterpools Posted April 18, 2024 Author Posted April 18, 2024 Thanks Scott Diane is doing much better and after our visit with the orthopedic surgeon on Monday, surgery won't be needed as the fracture should heal without it in about 7 - 8 weeks. Just a matter of time managing the pain (which is easing up) and discomfort and getting use to the special sling that keeps her arm immobile. I now have a new full-time job and am hard at work, 24/7 as needed. 8
ScottsGT Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 Sounds like a “lucky break” y’all got there. Back in February when I posted about my wife’s skiing accident it worked out the same way. Border line needing surgery but avoided it. Tell Diane we’re still thinking of her and this little pain is nothing compared to the one she married. So glad to hear it’s healing without surgery. 7

Landlubber Mike Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 That's great news Peter! Glad it turned out that way. Do we get a picture of you in a nurse's cap? 4 3
CANicoll Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 WTH!!! I miss looking at posts for a week and all hell breaks loose! Glad to hear Diane is doing much better and on the road to recovery but SOOO sorry to hear of her fall. Please ignore Mike - he knows not what he asks. I don't think I would be able to get the vision of you in a nurse's outfit out of my tiny mind.... 5

Peterpools Posted April 18, 2024 Author Posted April 18, 2024 Thanks Guys, so very much appreciate all the prayers and get well wishes. - Diane is lucky it wasn't a break, but a fracture and she is still hurting, with the healing process going to take about two months. Of course, being seniors we have so many other health issues, as it's just part of aging and out Golden Years. I know there is a rule on the forum about what can and can't be said and that goes for photos as well. If I posted an image of me in my nurse's work gear, I would surely be banned. 😉 9 1
