Well, I finally got a start.

First up, the .50 Browning on the commander's cupola.

Silly number of parts to this bit.

Next up, I started on the suspension arms.

Again, lots of little pieces to add to the hull sides.

Hopefully more to come.

Here's a kit you don't see much of.

No AM for the guild but there's an article on Armourama about what parts are for which version.

Mean looking tank!

Finally made some progress.

The fit so far has been very good. Everything where's it's supposed to. Which is a relief as there's smlo many bits.

Here's the front of the lower hull. 18 parts not including the hull itself.

There's a basic drivers position, mostly the seat.

With the hull side in place.

The upper hull is a perfect fit onto this.

Nice start on the Sheridan and the number of parts for the assemblies is incredible. I'm willing to bet, half the battle is not losing a few of those small parts to the carpet monster.

Increasingly I sit at my bench with a white towel across my lap to catch what I can.  I've seen aprons that connect to the workbench, but I'd forget it was attached and end up yanking everything onto the floor when I got up....

My better half sewed me one such apron, and I wear it permanently when modelling.

It has saved me crawling under the desk an invaluable number of times. Besides finding the stray part, the toughest issue is getting up after having crawled. Surprisingly, the older I get, the harder it is 🤣 (who is the wise philosopher who said that the problem of becoming an old man is that stiffness moves from where you want it to where you don’t want it 😇 ?)

This is called a jewellers’ apron. Jewellers have one in leather, where they collect all dust particles of a day’s work, besides small parts. Gold dust is worth its weight in gold, literally.

As most of you know, I have a carpet monster in my lap most of the time. She does a decent enough job catching wayward parts. Then I just have to retrieve them from her fur coat before she takes off. :D

In case anyone is wondering what I'm taking about.

Her standby isn't working out as well though. He wants to do some modelling as opposed to just being an observer.

Nope, just two cats. The ginger is Sunny D, he's a rescue that was abandoned as a kitten  at a dairy farm we were visiting. We were visiting with some friends and Sue saw him and immediately decided that we were taking him home. Which made the kids of the other parents there all want a kitten too. That didn't go over so well.

The orange guy is Sunny D and the Calico is Fursnake. My wife named them both.

If Garfield is anything like Sunny, I bet he's a real sweetheart.

Garfield is real demanding about food, as in comics also😄. He is 20+ years old.

We really miss having a cat around as we've had at least one since we got married 30 plus years ago but a kitten or rescue will have to wait until our old, grumpy Jack Russell is gone. She just about tolerates us in the house but certainly wouldn't welcome any new residents.

anyway....... about that Sheridan ....

There's a Sheridan here? :D

To be honest, I've been too tired after work to spend any time at the bench. Hopefully this weekend I'll get a chance to make some headway.
