P-40E to P-40K

I just received this very nice resin P-40K tail from Tim Biggers so now I'll be converting a Hasegawa P-40E to a K.

Nice, I will follow with interest. A great way how to build K with the kit being OOP for a while.  Also Eduard makes a nice fishtail exhaust for it. I guess you already know that.

Me too.  I'm glad to see Tim getting parts out there.  Nice to support one of our own!  I'll have to check his catalog and see what's new.

Glad to see you got one John!  I just ordered another E kit off Amazon from Japan for $40 to go with my tail.  Now off to order those exhaust tips!

Thanks, but I didn't exactly have to do much. It's really just a copy of the Hase K tail modified to be one piece. I don't usually do that, but with it long OOP, there seemed no other way to get one.

Carl is sending me an N tail to do the same thing.

Thanks @biggtimTim and @BlrwestSiRCarl for doing this, if I can suggest to add the perforated filter covers (I 5,6) to go with the "big tai"l deal as well.

 Cockpit looks really good John, the IP decals are surprisingly decent. I will follow in your footsteps on the P-40 path soon .

Okay, it’s just the N that gets the forward vents.  I was thinking the K had them as well.  But with the N boxing, it’s parts F1 that Carl needs to include with his N tail.  @BirwestSiR 

Any yes, I would give my left one up for a set of these Parrot Head decals too!
