Scale up sprocket and create teplate with computer. Then trace it to brass sheet. Create new gear and add this to stock part. At least this is my plan🧐 3

belugawhaleman Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 Two vintage Tamiya kits today: First; their British 25PDR. Field Gun & Quad Gun Tractor (Canadian Ford F.G.T) (35044) in 1/35. This kit dates back to 1974! I was ten years old when it came out. Never built this one, but I saw it in the Tamiya catalogs most of my life...I saw it on Amazon for $24.00, and thought why not? An interesting subject, a fun weekend build perhaps. Second; Tamiya's British Infantry Tank Mk.IV Churchill Mk.VII (35210) in 1/35. I built this kit 22 years ago, the model long since gone. The basic kit dates back to 1977. In '96 some nice figures were added to the kit; consisting of a "farmer" figure offering wine to the tanks crew and his cart. The cart has a basket with more wine bottles (clear plastic), bucket, milk can, and lantern. There are also 3 British soldier figures. I wanted to build a Churchill. The AFV kit looks good, but I chose this one for price, and the nostalgia factor. 10
BlrwestSiR Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 Nice couple of vintage kits Paul. Hopefully they're a nice trip down memory road for you. 4

belugawhaleman Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 A couple of Items today: The first, from Hobby Boss, their Vickers Medium Tank Mk II (83879) in 1/35 scale. Hobby Boss makes a lot of inter-war tank subjects that other manufacturers seem to avoid , these Vickers tanks in three Mks, and in particular, Soviet Tanks like the T-26,T-28, T-35 and etc. I find these pretty interesting.. And they seem like decent kits. Also today more Fruilmodel tracks. This time their ATL-04 PZ III/IV. I plan to use these on my Tamiya Nashorn. 7
CANicoll Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 Getting ready for the Twin GB, this arrived today. $155 in a VERY small box. And it is not even measured in carats.... 7
mark31 Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 Finale i spend my gift card that i get from the raffle here Thank you cannicol. These where one sale 30% discount And some stuff for my tornado diorama. 10
belugawhaleman Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 Another kit from Copper State Models today and it's an odd one; It's their 5.3 cm Gruson Fahrpanzer (CSM 35011) in 1/35. This was a a mobile pill-box artillery piece with a rotating turret that could be relocated on a horse-drawn carriage to a site. Once there, it could be fired from the carriage, or set up on a narrow gauge set of rails. A short section of rails was suspended on chains below the carriage. These were used from the 1890's and to the end of WW1. They were sold to other countries as well. An interesting subject. CSM sells accessories for this kit including figures and a pair of Horses. Also today some White Putty from Tamiya. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fahrpanzer 7
Martinnfb Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 Now we know what happened to R2D2's grandpa Sweet subject Paul, I would love to see your building log on this one. 1 7
belugawhaleman Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 Either that, or an H.G. Wells vision of what a 19th century German speaking Dalek might look like! Imagine; "Vernichten!" , "Vernichten!" (exterminate). 6

Martinnfb Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 Both Iwata airbrushes just died on me. I had them for more than a decade, replacing parts as the time progressed and eventually just gave up and got this one. 7
BlrwestSiR Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 Hope the new airbrush works out better for you Martin. 1
BlrwestSiR Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 Just picked this up from one of the guys on LSP. It also came with a Yahu IP, Master barrels and an Eduard seatbelt set. 7
Peterpools Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 Paul, WOW, those kits look awesome and have to be a build thread for sure. 3

I have two H&S Infinity Plus and Iwata AB's for many years and as time has gone on, spend more and more time stripping them down, doing deep cleaning and replacing parts, which especially for the H&S AB's, the cost of the parts is insane. I've been looking at replacing them as they are all over a decade old. No complaints as I've surely gotten my money's worth but the upkeep costs, have made the decision for me on replacing them before ordering more parts when needed. are 4 1
