Wingco57 Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Very nice, that windscreen fits nice too. Cheers Cees 1
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted August 17, 2014 Author Administrators Posted August 17, 2014 Really cool 50 shades of Alclad (Hmm, that'd be a good book title) .. Superb as always Jeroen! Nice stand by the way, where's that from?? Hi Grant, I looked for a stand like this at the aviationmegastore.com. When i asked they said they didn't sell those. It's actually a stand that belongs to one of those ready made airliner models. Since I'm born skeptical I browsed the store and found they did sell these separately at 13.50 euro's. Aluminium and wood. Comes with screws. Cheers, Jeroen 1
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted August 17, 2014 Author Administrators Posted August 17, 2014 Here's metal tubes installed to replace the kit's barrels and my first attempt at panel line washes with AMMO's new panel line wash. Review of this stuff is following soon! 1
Administrators James H Posted August 17, 2014 Administrators Posted August 17, 2014 Beautiful metal, great shading and soft skin. The whole package. 1
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted August 17, 2014 Author Administrators Posted August 17, 2014 Thnx! Here's the AMMO panel wash at work and one flap i decided to do in camo. Like it was replaced. Just to break it up. With some hairspray chipping. 4
Wingco57 Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Fantastic, that weathering will make it a showstopper. Cees 1
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted August 17, 2014 Author Administrators Posted August 17, 2014 The pitot tube needed a lot of love so i fashioned a new one from steel rod and copper tube: Then I drilled out the holes in the gun nozzles (thnx Jim!) and replaced the barrels with copper ones': 3
Administrators James H Posted August 17, 2014 Administrators Posted August 17, 2014 You did better on those metal shades than I thought you would. For a quick build, you're doing this one proud.
Grant Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Great stuff as always! I really like the look of the new AMMO panel wash! Was it easy to use? This is going to epic! Certainly way up there with some of your top builds Jeroen!
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted August 22, 2014 Author Administrators Posted August 22, 2014 Thnx Grant! The AMMO was is extremely easy to use. Just smear it on. Wait for 2 hours and wipe it off. The effect is very realistic. Here's two pics of ongoing weathering. 6
Administrators James H Posted August 22, 2014 Administrators Posted August 22, 2014 What Alclad shades did you use, and what did you use to create the shading? Much better photos Now get those wings done 1
JonathanReed Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Nice airbrush work on that Lemon Emigrant too! LOL! Seriously its looking awesome!
Guest Kagemusha Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Wow, that beast is coming on a treat, great choice of scheme.
Paulster Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Your panel shading with those Alcads must be commended. Nice job. About there.
One-Oh-Four Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Friggin' great work! I had anticipated that your carelessness in adapting a stand early in the build would bite you in the back-side but it seems my worries were premature! Looks really awesome!
Grant Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 You and I are going to have to sit down so you can give me lessons on the use of Alclad! This is sensational work Jeroen!
Dave J Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 That's coming along really nicely Jeroen. love the bmf shading
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted August 24, 2014 Author Administrators Posted August 24, 2014 AAAALLMOST done! But not quite. 4
Administrators James H Posted August 24, 2014 Administrators Posted August 24, 2014 That's looking seriously good, but you forgot the ailerons. I knew you would. I sensed it when I sent you the kit. 5
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted August 24, 2014 Author Administrators Posted August 24, 2014 That's looking seriously good, but you forgot the ailerons. I knew you would. I sensed it when I sent you the kit. If they were on. I would be done
kahunaminor Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 I sensed it when I sent you the kit. I sense a disturbance in the Force...something I have not felt for a long time..... 1
RalphSarc Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 I've never seen an aluminized aircraft looks so real!! Hats of to you Jeroen on an incredible build!! 1
rkranias Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 That's looking seriously good, but you forgot the ailerons. I knew you would. I sensed it when I sent you the kit. No sensed not. Send or send not. There is no sensed. 2
