Administrators James H Posted June 9, 2013 Administrators Posted June 9, 2013 That just looks so frickin amazing! Only the Brits could produce something looking so utilitarian. Still say that's the best PC10 finish I've seen, and those racks are fantastic
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted June 9, 2013 Author Administrators Posted June 9, 2013 You like my rack?! I agree only the Brits could have designed this plane. Too bad you're not a brit! 1
Grant Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Too bad you're not a brit! Aye lad, he's from t'oop noorth' ! and they're known as soft skin coveters It's a beautiful model Jeroen, you've done an amazing job mate and the bomb racks are sublime. As a design - it DOES looks like some mechanic has just decided to take the front end of a car and add some items other people have said are essential like ... wings but b*gger any "design" concept ! 2
Wingco57 Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Jeroen, Looks great, you seem to have mastered the paint overlap on the edges as well. Cees
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted June 16, 2013 Author Administrators Posted June 16, 2013 Hi Guys, Please forgive me for not posting on a more regular basis lately, but work is annoyingly getting in the way. However, this weekend I managed to get some bench time in.
coolboxx Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Great work jeroen great shading on wings and fuselage
Jeroenveen1 Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Marvelous Jeroen! I like that very much! Despite work you seem to make good progress. Are you going to weather her a bit more or will she stay like this? That color richness is truly beautiful!
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted June 16, 2013 Author Administrators Posted June 16, 2013 Marvelous Jeroen! I like that very much! Despite work you seem to make good progress. Are you going to weather her a bit more or will she stay like this? That color richness is truly beautiful! Hi Jeroen, thnx! Replicating your SE5 gunsight noe for the Ninak. She will be heavily weathered. Exhaust and oil stains. Dirt. Scratches. Studying photo's now for the right effect / amount 1
Administrators James H Posted June 16, 2013 Administrators Posted June 16, 2013 All WW1 models are not small She's looking really good, and you get a good sense of perspective on the Ninak's size too. What do you use as a final finish? (varnish etc?)
Wingco57 Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Jeroen, Good to see you back working on the Ninak, looks great. Cees
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted June 22, 2013 Author Administrators Posted June 22, 2013 Small progress! Started the wiring. 1
Grant Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 That looks brilliant Jeroen, the staining on the tail is subtle and superb ... I wish I knew how you did it. Yeah, I can relate; work is driving me nuts at the moment .. trying to keep up with everything on the forum, reading model related stuff everyday, handling models, kits, accessories etc is really tough
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted June 29, 2013 Author Administrators Posted June 29, 2013 This build is keeping me on my toes. Small slow steps and I keep checkin my references. There are a couple of subtle changes between various scheme's. I'm putting the struts and top wing on. Ready for rigging... Since I live about 5 km from the Aviation Mega Store I go there almost every weekend. Just like Cees. And Rick Martens before he moved to ze German border Here's a pic: Oh and those boxes in front are the HPH Catalina...
Rick Martens Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Do they carry the PBY in stock? Yup as far as I know. My wallet is very happy since I moved to ze German Border 3
Administrators James H Posted June 30, 2013 Administrators Posted June 30, 2013 That looks just amazing. The best images I've seen of this so far, and that PC10 looks superb. I give you ONE WEEK to rig this, seriously 1
Grant Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Lovely work as always Jeroen. I've always enjoyed your previous works mate but I think you've found your natural home with WW1 subjects.
Dave J Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Yup as far as I know. My wallet is very happy since I moved to ze German Border Wish I knew and I would of sent some funds to Jeroen!! Oh well... I think I only have another 4-6 weeks to wait from HPH.. and the NINAK is looking fantastic Jeroen!
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted July 8, 2013 Author Administrators Posted July 8, 2013 I know this forum is getting big when I have to scroll and search for my own topics Here's some proof the Ninak did not stall. Some rigging done: 2
Administrators James H Posted July 8, 2013 Administrators Posted July 8, 2013 Almost done? Looking real good
