shark64 Posted September 20, 2023 Author Posted September 20, 2023 Photo quality is awful, sorry about that. Added some tools. 6 3
Peterpools Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Oliver I'm speechless as always. The detailing is brilliant and your weathering is so realistically done. A pleasure to follow your build.🏆 3
Martinnfb Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Absolutely lovely work Oliver, brings me back to my early years when I use to drool over all of the crazy detailed dioramas in the Verlinden books. Cheers Martin 4

shark64 Posted September 30, 2023 Author Posted September 30, 2023 After so many months working on the truck. It's finally done. Now back to the helo. 7 4
shark64 Posted October 8, 2023 Author Posted October 8, 2023 Started on the tail rotor. A lot of masking on this. I had to take extra care when pulling the tape not to break the fragile PE parts. Next is some chipping and a wash. The tail rotor on the H 34 is pretty clean compare to other helicopters since the engine exhausts are on the front of the helo. 6 3
Peterpools Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Oliver Agreed and with the truck portion of the dio competed, so you could return to working your magic on the H-34 Beautiful work on the tail rotor painting and weather - so greatly appreciated the 'how-to' images. 1
Peterpools Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Oliver Amazing work - and the weathering; just so realistic❗ 1
shark64 Posted October 11, 2023 Author Posted October 11, 2023 Started on the base. I am not so sure the desert scene is the way to go at this point, mmmmmnn!!!! I got the mat from a reptile place. 7 2
Peterpools Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Oliver The matt looks so good. OH no, second thoughts on a desert scene; if not, what would be the next choice❓ 2
shark64 Posted October 14, 2023 Author Posted October 14, 2023 Pete, dont know about next choice. Will proceed with this and will see how it looks. Never done anything this big of ground work before so again outside my comfort zone, you got to push your limit. I made a frame of the truck if I need to add some tire marks since I don't want to use my truck to do it. preview of the figures. 5 1
